Well, for one thing, all of those are voluntary, while circumcision, when it comes to infants, is not.

As an Atheist, I don't approve of abortion. Masturbation is to satisfy oneself to sexual desires, resisting masturbation might (my theory) result to rape someone else if they can't touch themselves because an invisible hippie said so.
Piercings aren't wrong, I know some Christians who have piercings. And the same goes for tattoos.
Quit blaming zeitgeist for every problem you Christians have.
Cutting off a part of your child's genitals for your beliefs (or just aesthetic purposes) without their consent is mutilation. It's the boy's body, not his parent's property.
And how the fuck do you call consensual forms of bodily alteration "mutilation"? These people made an informed decision to alter their bodies in a manner that doesn't injure or disable them.
As for abortion, though, I've gotta say I'm surprised and almost impressed to see a fundie realize that this is an issue of bodily domain!
Cause those things, masturbation, abortion, piercing, and tattoos, are a choice done by the person who wants them. Circumcision, isn't a choice in many parts of the world.
Because I don't have the right to mangle my child. I didn't peirce my baby's ears because of that reason. If she wants them later, she can ask me. It would be her choice. I don't have the right to make those personal and painful choices for her. Same thing if she ever, gods forbid, needs an abortion, I would rather her not, but in the end, it's her body.
Because masturbation, abortion, piercings, and tattoos are personal choices. Most of the time circumcision is practiced on an infant to young to decide. If you're like 20 or 30 years old and decide to cut off your own foreskin then go ahead. The atheist argument against circumcision is that it's not you place to decide what to do with someone else's body. A baby isn't your property, it's a living human who's penis could only belong to himself. Go back to and come back when you've ditched your straw man.

It's mutilation because it's chopping off a part of your body, or rather an important section of skin on the penis that normally protects it against infection, and makes sex/masturbation more enjoyable. Even worse, it's normally done at an age where the person having this AWFUL thing done to them is a baby, and thus unable to provide his own consent, whereas masturbation, abortions, piercings and tattoos are done with consent.
In short, go fuck yourself you child abuse promoting piece of shit.
Because people CHOOSE to do all four of those things, while an innocent and unprotected infant does NOT choose to have an important part of its body sliced off and mutilated for no other reasons than the process being a hold-over from the ancient days of jewish blood sacrifice, perhaps.
Circumcision= slicing of the genitals, involuntary and not a choice, except in rare cases.
Masturbation= sexual pleasure, completely voluntary, how is this mutilating anything?
Abortion= destroying would could possibly be a life, involuntary on the part of the fetus... alright, you got one.
Piercing= pushing holes in skin, voluntary, but it is mutilation and disgusting. Still, it's the person's choice, so no.
Tattoos= ink in the skin, voluntary and mutilation, same as last case.

Because unlike whacking off, abortion, piercings and tattoos, circumcision is not something traditionally one chooses for one's self. It's often something forced on the person by the person's parents while they're still infants and hypersensitive to pain.
I have no problem with circumcision that is the person's choice for themselves and arrived at in adulthood.
Let's see. Could it be because circumcision is a barbaric, harmful and unnecessary procedure performed on a child who has absolutely no choice whereas masturbation, abortion, piercings and tattoos are all functions of informed choice, none of which harm anyone in any way. I know you will point out that abortion harms the "baby", but to that I will say that a blastocyst is not a baby, so stuff a sock in it.

I don't really think circumcision is mutilation as it used to serve a purpose, but nowadays we have showers and not longer really need to circumcise anymore. Plus, I have more penis than any circumcised dude.

peircing and tattoos are a form of self mutilation, except that is an adult making that choise, not that i think there is anything wrong with circumcision, that is just tradition...

Tattoos are done with one's consent, circumcision of infants is not.
Piercings are generally done with one's consent, although I am also against parents getting piercings on their infants.
Abortion is the removal of non-sentient cells.

I'd say that 2 of 4 could be seen as a form of mutilation. But, usually a person decides they want it. Not so often in circumcision.
Because masturbation hurts no one, and abortion, piercings and tattoos are choices made about one's body. Personally, I view both piercings and tattoos as mild forms of self-mutilation (I don't look down on anyone who gets one, but it's just something I've never been able to grok wanting to get), but if one wants to do it to one's body, one has that right. A young baby, however, does not.
Personally, I don't really take sides on the circumcision issue; some say that it's mutilation, and some say that it's necessary for hygiene, so there are secular arguments on either side that I really don't give a damn about and won't unless I ever have a son, but for the love of Athe, please, don't turn it into an atheist vs. practitioners of the Abrahamic religions debate.
Which atheists are those? I'm atheist and I'm circumcised and glad for it. And if I had a son instead of a daughter, he would have been snipped too.
And FYI, the people I heard crying about circumcision when I worked on the pediatric ward were christians.
