Dipshit, I'm gay and I wouldn't be caught dead in drag or in a Gay Pride march. And the reason it upsets gay people to be asked their orientation on blood-donation forms is because *GASP* gay people can't give blood. They're upset that they can't donate blood based on their sexuality, not because some slip of paper asked if they were gay.

It was in fact, a combination of American hardcore drug addicts, that sold their blood, in order to raise the money for their next fix, & the reluctance of U.S companies, to screen the derived blood products such as Factor VIII, for diseases such as Hepatitis A & B, & later Hepatitis C, that decimated the Haemophiliac communities in the U.K & France, during the late 1970's/early 1980's, not gay men...
(Sorry folks for the vehemence of my response, to this homophobic drivel, but my brother in law, who is Haemophiliac, was infected by both HIV & Hepatitis C, as a result of the use of contaminated Factor VIII, imported from the U.S, in the early 1980's...).

@jiminycricket000: Apart from the fact that you're a total scumbag, the main outrage comes about via the implication that the questionnaire actually cares whether or not someone is gay, since it suggests that they might be forbidden to donate blood simply on the basis of their sexuality.

@LincolnParty: No, gays aren't trying to "make people gay". They just want equal rights. Trying to make people gay would sink their entire argument if they could do it or were doing it, as one of the main issues is whether people are born gay or become gay. The evidence thus far suggests that people are indeed born gay. If you castrate a man against his will he has every right to go to the cops and get you arrested.
