Wow, that’s sweeping. I don’t think that’s true, though, there are plenty of things that I believe but i lack objective evidence to convince another.
I haven’t had my wife under surveillance for the last 40 years but i believe that she’s been faithful to me this whole time.

Doesn’t really matter. All you have is testimony, which is not convincing evidence to me. I’ve found many a Christain telling lies to try to convince me of God’s existence. Most Chick Tracts for instance.

I would need to see the lab results of the positive test and the negative test. I’d need some reason to think that it wasn’t a false positive. And I would still need some reason to believe god was involved. Maybe your nameless friend is just a mutant?

You have another anecdote, whee. Of a nameless woman. Did a doctor diagnose it as a tumor? Did a doctor find her clear of the tumorous mass?

Say that I were to tell YOU that I saw the President of the Mormon CHurch handle one of Smith’s golden plates, and they’re real, and that proves the Book of Mormon, but I don’t have those plates, they were hidden away. You’d be unconvinced, right? Because YOU haven’t seen the plates, you didn’t see Joseph Smith perform any miracles, you haven’t seen a more recent miracle proving the Mormon’s right….

Well, yes, if i attend someone’s funeral and am convinced of their death, and they show up later, I will be very impressed.
However someone TELLING me a dead guy got up later is not that compelling.
