Well the jumbo jet that landed at the wrong airport yesterday I beleive it was. Especially at night, this happens more than people would think in the aviation world. Have you ever looked down from a plane, you could be flying over the town you grew up in and not reconize it. The pilots that made this error were flying a super jumbo which means they have 1000's of hours logged in the air, probably north of 7000 hours.
So how did some muslim dudes manage to look out the front windows and get three if their airliners on 9/11 to the target. Lol, this story is getting so easy rip apart now.

Do you know what routine is? If you were a pilot, you'd have flown to major airports hundreds of times, each of them would be equally familiar, and that's why if the view, flight instruments, GPS and radio told you you were heading for a place that happened not to be your objective THIS time, you might not notice anything wrong.
A new pilot on their first flight would have never made that mistake!
I take it you don't live in a big city with large landmarks. Nor do you take into account that, on 9/11, it was daytime and the weather was fine.
Jets land at the wrong airport for many reasons other than navigational error; the fact that this made news across the globe might give you an idea why it's so rare - airplanes have radios nowadays.

Lol, you're a fucking idiot.

Certainly no way on earth they could have practised it beforehand using some kind of computerised simulation, letting them make the flight time and time again until they knew exactly what landmarks to look out for, nor would there be anything around that they could use that would show them their position on the planet... some kind of System that would be usable on a Global scale that would show on a screen what their Position was.
No chance of that, right?
Obviously, the OP has never seen a GPS unit in his life. I can understand that, given that he probably lives in some flyover state in a town off the map anyway, where the church doubles as the town school and where all the locals gather at the well to share stories about their crops.
I guess you're forgetting the fact that the terrorists went to pilot school and learned everything about flying instead of how to land, which is what the instructors thought was odd. That, and the fact that jumbo jet landed at a small airport near Wichita, KS at night instead of at McConnel AFB 8 miles away, while the 9/11 hijackings happened in the morning when the sun was shining. The amazing thing was that they managed to land that huge aircraft on a runway that was too small, and managed to take off again.
While runways at two adjacent airports may be easily confused, you're telling me you can't tell which of the buildings in the following pictures are the World Trade Center?
Note: There are a lot of buildings in these pictures, it might be difficult, especially if you're looking for "twin towers".

Gee, Mr. Fucking Wizard, it was a clear day and they flew the planes at the towers. It's not like those buildings were unique or stood out from the others....oh, wait...
Fucking moron.
Wichita has several airports, and because of the prevailing wind most (if not all) have runways that line up in the same direction. A few miles off and you would see yourself at the wrong airport, especially if you were doing a visual approach at night. This sort of thing happens more often than you would think -- in Europe in the Cold War days it was almost a daily occurrence where combat aircraft would land at another nation's airbase by mistake.
You'd have needed to be blind not to see the Twin Towers at 9.00 am on a cloudless day.
I have no idea whether this idiot's "wrong airport" story is even true, but even if it is it proves nothing except that even highly experienced professionals can make mistakes.
Confused?
