why is other peopel`s atraction YOUR problem?
About 50 year`s ago, you guy`s here woulde be antigay`s. You woulde not want anyone to be in gay relacionships or have gay atraction. You woulde have felt that it somehow your business. Even if the gay sex and LTR`s were not rapes, you woulde still stick your nose in.

Today, you guy`s are antiJBlover. As another tread of this forum said this week, no body here meets with JB or even talk with them. It is stricly an atraction that not manifest into real life. But why so many here care if X user is atract to JB? Why is his atraction your business if he's not raping JB or grooming JB? JBlovers should be gassed for thier thoughts and feelings? Strong minority report.

He seems to be talking (as far as I can make out from the horrible writing) about people who are attracted to underage girls/boys, but do not act on that attraction. In which case I agree, although I would not have put it the way he did. You can't help who you're attracted to. On the other hand, this guy's posting to sluthate, so screw him.
This is not Fundy in itself. It may very well be that the guy is Fundy seeing him posting on sluthate, and all, but this particular post is more rational than the ones I see from many self-styled intellectuals on 'rationalism' forums.
He's right, in that if someone is a pedophile or ephebophile and they aren't taking advantage of anyone or grooming them or otherwise denying them the ability to make their own informed decisions about their lives, there's no reason to care what makes their penis hard.
I think our society HAS gone overboard against persons with those attractions, failing to give them resources to deal with their feelings in a nondestructive way. This really doesn't belong here.
I agree on the point I think they're trying to make. Indeed, the problem isn't having the urges (which is not a choice) but rather acting upon them (which is). I, for instance, often have the urge to punch many of the people quoted on this site until they stop being alive. However no matter how strong the urge might get (and it gets so very, very strong some days) I would never actually do so. Not even if you left the two of us alone in the middle of nowhere, them chained to the wall and an aluminum bat standing in the corner with a note saying "go nuts" taped to it. Not even if it was Davey J. Kid-diddler.
... I might give the location of the room to other, more impulsive members of the group in that last permutation of the scenario, though.
They'd probably have a much better chance of conveying and spreading their point of view if they took the time to improve their grammar & spelling. As it stands, were I reading this mess anywhere else I wouldn't give it more than the barest glance before moving on to the next post.

I read an article about a young man who was attracted to very underage people and it horrified him when he realized he was a pedophile. He looked everywhere he could think of to find therapy to help him NOT act on his urges. He found that there is no therapy for someone like him unless you've already offended, at least not anywhere near him. He's working with a doctor now trying to set something up.
I'd have little issue if paedophiles didn't act on their impulses and abuse children because of their desires, but I fear that many won't seek help and will continue be a risk to minors.

If you know that acting on it is wrong and WHY it is wrong I will keep the torches and pitchforks stowed but it doesn't lend much strength to your argument when you play the bigot card so clumsily. Your fantasies are your fantasies but I'm not quite so open-minded that I wouldn't freak out at the thought of somebody I know is sexually attracted to children ever being alone with them. You don't even leave a clean alcoholic in a wine cellar after all.
And on OHP's note I wouldn't really trust myself if I were left alone in a room with certain people in fist's reach. I don't think of myself as a particularly violent man but there are things that overpower any and all sense of reason.
If it was simply a case of what you imagine while masturbating, I couldn't give a shit. The problem is solely when you act upon that attraction, either by molesting children or securing picture of children being molested.
There wouldn't be much of a problem here if you didn't use the term "JBlover" as a way to legitimise your potentially dangerous mental illness. Call it what it is, PEDOPHILIA.
