The universe is as old as you want it to be. But God created Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago. There are theistic evolutionists that believe that God created them over time and then when man had developed to where he is now, God put them into the Garden. The modern age began.
Perhaps you need to do a little bit of study on biodiversity to see how that works.

Or, possibly, god doesn't exist, there was no "Garden of Eden", and you are a hopeless retard. Look up the phrase "critical thinking" and try again, moron.
"The universe is as old as you want it to be."
Hey, if you don't like the facts, you can make up stuff and it will be factual too. WTF?
"But God created Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago."
Well, that seems to be the bible version of the origin of humans.
"There are theistic evolutionists that believe that God created them over time and then when man had developed to where he is now, God put them into the Garden. The modern age began."
There is no biblical support for such a belief.
The bible makes no mention of a "modern age."
"Perhaps you need to do a little bit of study on biodiversity to see how that works."
Oh, Johnny, you, of all people, should not be telling others to study the workings of biodiversity or anything else. You have SO MUCH studying of your own yet to do.
"The universe is as old as you want it to be."
See, it's this kind of thinking that leads to the kind of retarded statements you so often make.
"But God created Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago."
Like this one.
"There are theistic evolutionists that believe that God created them over time and then when man had developed to where he is now, God put them into the Garden."
Or they think that the entire genesis story is allegorical. Not everyone believes that the garden was literal, or that, you know, nothing died before 6,000 years ago.
"The modern age began."
Ah, I get it. By JohnR7's standard, the neolithic is "modern", so anything after that must be part of the "modern age".
"Perhaps you need to do a little bit of study on biodiversity to see how that works."
You know, I agree that someone here needs to study biodiversity. I'll give you a hint: it's JohnR7
Damn, even if he finds this site, that fuckwad will never find my hint.
Fiiiiine, so basically, God made a garden (sounds a bit like a landowner so far).
Then he got some indentured labour to care for it. Was Adam Mexican?
Then Adam became increasing unhappy so God relented and imported his spouse.
Then God got angry and kicked them both out.
Wow, maybe the US is one Nation under God after all!!!
Bullshit.
Everyone knows that the universe was created at 4:38 PM last Thursday by the Flying Spaghetti Monster. All that evidence of an older earth and previous inhabitants was placed there by the secret Nazi Illuminati Vampire Freemasons who ride around on cloned firebreathing T-rex's in order to facilitate their conquest of Luxemburg.
These Christians know this to be true in their hearts, yet they deny the simple and obvious facts because deep down they know they are unworthy of the great Spaghetti and Meatballs in the sky.
If they actually thought for a moment rather than believing their obviously flawed creation myth then the answers would become obvious.
In the name of the FSM, may his noodles touch you in passing.
The Universe is as old as it is. According to your book of myths, God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. It doesn't specify years, to my knowledge.
If you do a little bit of study on biodiversity, you quickly see that Earth is much, much older than 6000 years.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
