The universe is as old as you want it to be. But God created Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago. There are theistic evolutionists that believe that God created them over time and then when man had developed to where he is now, God put them into the Garden. The modern age began.
Perhaps you need to do a little bit of study on biodiversity to see how that works.

All that evidence of an older earth and previous inhabitants was placed there by the secret Nazi Illuminati Vampire Freemasons who ride around on cloned firebreathing T-rex's in order to facilitate their conquest of Luxemburg.
These Christians know this to be true in their hearts, yet they deny the simple and obvious facts because deep down they know they are unworthy of the great Spaghetti and Meatballs in the sky.

The Universe is as old as it is. According to your book of myths, God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. It doesn't specify years, to my knowledge.
If you do a little bit of study on biodiversity, you quickly see that Earth is much, much older than 6000 years.
