If events like this [the Amish school shooting]
are inspired by demons then
it is possible
a Christian hostage
who keeps their wits about them
could order the nut
to give himself up
or purge him of the demon
by authority
of Christ. It's something
to keep in mind for Christians.
And if they didn't
think of it before
a terror situation
it might not occur
to them during one.

Yeah, just like that teacher at Red Lake did. The gunman asked her if she believed in God, she said she did. She prayed and prayed, and then the gunman blew her brains out.
So, in the ever lasting land of God, the Amish, the good people who, unlike fundies, don´t bother anybody, six innocent girls get killed. Who is to blame not to look like stupid?, THE DEVIL. Not a man who has been documented. That´s why they were killed, YOU IDIOT.
I was waiting for the first fundie fucktard to comment on this being a case of demonic possession.
This is the 21st century people. There are no such things as demons, devils, ghosts, goblins, et. al.
Mind you, if there were, what does that say about this so-called everloving, all powerful God?
Please tell me this is just word wrap gone wrong.
I made the mistake of going to FR and looking at the thread. It just gets worse.
oldtimer 2 says:
"There were at least 4 adult women and 25 students including 15 boys in this schoolhouse. This guy was able to bind the girls' ankles without interference -- NOBODY saw fit to "jump in and help". Sorry but that takes 2 hands (unless the girls followed instructions to tie themselves/each other up) so he was not effectively armed while he did this -- yet still nobody stopped him."
Other people start talking about concealed weapons in schools to "prevent" something like this. Of course, talking about fighting back and having guns proves that they have no clue about Amish beliefs.
I notice that they avoid the fact that the guy was a church-going Christian. In fact, his wife was at a church meeting when this all went down. Also, the incident that has been haunting him for 20 years is apparently his molestation of two female relatives 20 years ago.
Oh bloody hell , the guy snapped, it wasn't a case of demons or possession or WHATEVER. A shooting done by an extreme-fundie against evil "non-believers" would be more likely than one of a demonically-possessed person (even though, one could argue that they're one and the same...). If anything, trying to appeal to someone's morals with God in a case like that probably would do more harm than good - if the shooter had already resolved NOT to listen to his/her religious upbringings (or if they had none to begin with), then nothing a person can say about Christ and God would guilt them into not shooting. Logical reasoning is better in that case...
"it is possible

who keeps their wits about them..."
Whoa. Christian wits? You lost me.
You go and order a gun wielding psychopath on a homicide/suicide rampage to give up his gun. I'm sure he'll gladly put it down and quietly live out the rest of his life behind bars. Oh, wait he'll shoot you in the face, I always confuse those two.
Try it though, and the last words out of your mouth will be, "Stop! In the name of the lord!"
If the Amish school shooting had been inspired by demons, I believe the Christian Amish would have been protected by their God.
But since the Amish school shooting was inspired by one man's twisted madness, Dark Ages superstition would be of no help whatsoever.
For fuck's sake, don't try to blame the victims in this tragedy for not exorcising this man's demons or any nonsense like that. You are an utterly worthless piece of shit to try to capitalize on their deaths for your fundie religion.
Of course, how didn't I think of this before? next time someone threatens to kill me, I'll just exorcise the demons out of them. if someone had thought of this before graveyards would be empty, right?
So, summarising, very religious people suffer a calamity and, because God hasn't sent thousand angels to protect them, you think something "obscure" has to have happened in order to feel better. Ok.
Confused?
