[In answer to the question, "How would disproving evolution prove the existence of a specific god?]
First off I'm a very committed Christian.
Secondly I have studied the physics and maths behind the theory of evolution and can safely say that the idea of organic molecules becoming biological life violates the second law of thermodynamics.
Thirdly this in no way proves anything except the current theories regarding evolution are at least partly wrong.
As a scientist it really gets up my nose when people push theories on other people which have a basis that is patently and demonstrably wrong. It's no better than the church in some places insisting that the sun went round the earth when all the evidence pointed elsewhere.

What really gets up my nose is people writing several sentences in answer to a question, none of which actually answers the question.
(Plus the Second Law of Thermodynamics does not work like that. Good night.)
I'm actually curious about whether you can name the other laws of thermodynamics and explain what they actually mean. Because the second law states that in an isolated system, entropy only increases--it can never decrease.
Hint: Earth is not a closed system.

"second law of thermodynamics"
No it doesn't.
Now please tell me, if you can, what the other laws of thermodynamics are.
Also go and look up the meaning of a closed system and understand that the earth is not a closed system.

You're a liar attempting to look smart in order to deceive people. Lying for Jesus again!! Physics and mathematics are not necessary to understand evolution. They actually have very little to do with biological evolution. The subject you are looking for is biology. The subject that only makes sense in the light of evolution.
"As a scientist"
No. Just no!

If you're really a scientist, you'd understand the second law of thermodynamics and why it has absolutely nothing to do with and does not disprove evolution.
Secondly, you, like all Christians, didn't answer the question. How does disproving evolution make your god real? Why are the only two choices of how life exists today either evolutionary theory or "Goddidit?"

Michael Behe, is that you?!
"I'm a very committed Christian."
'Committed'? You should be. [/hyper-snark] >:D
FUCK! You stupid, stupid douche-nozzle!
The second law of thermodynamics states that entropy cannot decrease in a isolated system, yes. For your information, Earth, the planet we inhabit, is not a isolated system.
Go outside on a cloudless day. You see that big warm orange thing in the sky? It's called the Sun. It is a star that pours energy in the form of light, heat and energetic particules on the Earth, among other planets. In fact, if you're lucky, some night you can see the Northern Lights, caused by the stream of energetic particles emitted by the Sun.
We are NOT in an isolated system. Guessed you missed that in your "studies."
If I had ultimate power, every moron who said this crap would have it tattooed on their forhead.
"Secondly I have studied the physics and maths behind the theory of evolution and can safely say that the idea of organic molecules becoming biological life violates the second law of thermodynamics."
Why, why, why, why, WHY do people still attempt to use this "argument"?
WHY do they think it's a good one?
All they do is make themselves look really ridiculous.
Especially in cases like this.
They must enjoy being laughed at.
Pushing things on people that are demonstratably and unprovably wrong, you mean like religious beliefs? It took science to demonstrate that the earth went around the sun; as you mentioned it was the church pushing what was wrong, just ask Galileo. It was only recently that they apologized to him, lot of good that did him.
Oh yeah, and the origin of life is not evolution, it's abiogenesis, genius, you'd think you would know that if you studied evolution.
"As a scientist it really gets up my nose when people push theories on other people which have a basis that is patently and demonstrably wrong. "
I know what you mean. Even Answersingenesis.com says your 2nd law claim is nonsense.
As a scientist
Unfortunately, you're not a very good one... having such a poor understanding of the 2nd LoT indicates that you're pushing your own pet theory (that ToE violates 2nd LoT) onto other people when it has a basis that is patently and demonstrably wrong.
How far up your own nose are you going to go?
You are no more a scientist than I am Spencer Tracy.
And if you can prove that our theories of evolution or abiogenesis are wrong, your Nobel Prize awaits you. Why are you wasting your time on Yahoo Answers?
If you're a scientist, you're not much of one... Stating that evolution "violates the second law of thermodynamics" is a tire old load of nonsense fundie tactic.
At least this person admits that disproving the theory of evolution wouldn't somehow magically prove god.
"I have studied the physics and maths behind the theory of evolution and can safely say that the idea of organic molecules becoming biological life violates the second law of thermodynamics."
"As a scientist..."
I have studied Spanish. I studied it at school for a year. No-one would mistake me for a Spaniard. You have "studied" science. No-one would mistake you for a scientist. Apart, it seems, from you.
"Secondly I have studied the physics and maths behind the theory of evolution and can safely say that the idea of organic molecules becoming biological life violates the second law of thermodynamics."
I'm sure if you stay up all night thinking about that, in the morning the answer will dawn on you.
First off I'm a very committed Christian.
I see you are committed to lying as well, as evidenced by you're lack of actual scientific knowledge,...
organic molecules becoming biological life violates the second law of thermodynamics.
...and by the use of tired old creationist arguments.
it really gets up my nose when people push theories on other people which have a basis that is patently and demonstrably wrong.
What gets up your nose is the smell of that which you pulled out of your own ass, dearie.
Oh, and shiny shiny mirror.

Finally, like others have said, answer the question.
To be fair, they did answer the question; it's not an answer fundies like, so it's buried in the "Thirdly" paragraph. I wonder why not just lie about it though, as they've demonstrated their willingness to lie in order to make a point just a sentence earlier.
@Crocoducks:
Because it works on the uneducated. In my first year of studying physics at uni, after a concert, I joined a conversation that had been going some time in which a creationist had just convinced some other folks that evolution violates the 2LoT. That part of the conversation had wrapped up, but after a short while I got a chance to bring biology up again. Someone offered up a summary of the creationist's argument, which had conveniently ignored any mention of "closed systems".
The creationist had appealed to their audience's respect of authority by projecting an air of scientific literacy, which made them a lot less sceptical. Luckily, a single question from myself undermined that apparent authority, which made everyone receptive to my explanation of why the creationist argument was utter bullshit.
Ah, the good ol' 2nd Law of Thermodynamics argument, a way to make the braindead creationist appear to be an educated scientist with just a little bit of technobabble. A pity they just have to look up at the sky on a clear day to find out why they're wrong.
Too bad you didn't study the Theory of Evolution itself, or you would have known it doesn't deal with the origin of life, just the diversification. Oh, and it seems you forgot to study the Second Law too, as that deal with closed environments. The Earth has an outside energy source called the Sun.
Yes, this doesn't prove anything in regards to the existence of your particular god.
Nobody is pushing theories on other people. If you don't like studying Biology, you can refrain from doing so. However, the Theory of Evolution is one of the strongest and most supported theories around. No real scientist has ever managed to demonstrate any patent wrongs with it. If they had, it would have ceased to be a theory, stupid.
"Secondly I have studied the physics and maths behind the theory of evolution and can safely say that the idea of organic molecules becoming biological life violates the second law of thermodynamics."
Really, I would've thought somebody who studied evolution so much would at lest know what it is.
Confused?
