while abortion may not be preferable to contraception, only the most tightassed, mysoginistic fuckasses suffering from severe inferiority complexes (... aka fundies) would ever think the woman should not have a complete choice.
"Only in the case of rape/health" simply isn't acceptable either. There are PLENTY of reasons, ranging from mental health, to goals, desires, not being ready to raise them (better to abort for now than to neglect or lack the resources/aid) or simply not wanting children (hey, once in a while contraception CAN fail, after all) that are all perfectly valid. Its HER body. Or would you rather people start claiming that getting treatment for worms, fungal infections and other parasites is "murder" and deserves the death penalty?
Because until that thing's born, and even then its still utterly dependant, but until its born its nothing but an almost entirely parasitic relationship. Its not a Baby until its born, either. There's a reason for the different terms.
Until those claiming to be "pro life" -which appears to mean pro-murder of everything that doesn't agree with them or that they don't really like, except for OTHER people's blastocysts (because when its them, or their girlfriend or 13 year old daughter, its EVER SO DIFFERENT, I mean, they have a reputation to uphold and all)- are willing to A) have said embryo implanted into themselves and take the risk FOR the girl, B) willing to pay all medical costs from OB/GYN visits straight to college tuition, and C) start trying to lead that culture-of-life doublespeak by EXAMPLE instead of terrorist tactics, they have not one fucking thing to say on the matter when it doesn't personally involve their body.
