The vampire cult is an adjunct of Satanism, therefore neither more nor less "imaginary" than any religion. Its bloody goings-on are also demonstrably real--and gaining in popularity thanks to the slick glamour of film.

The so-called 'Vampire Cult' is in essence a group of role players who enjoy dressing fancy and hanging out together at night. They drink, dance and smoke, but there is very little actual 'diabolical' activity going on.
If you're going to comment on either Vampire culture or Satanism, it behooves you to at least do a little research first. Much like the terms Wicca, Voodoo and Druidry, they are not interchangable.
Oh come on, vampires are so last year, this year it's zombies.
Jesus said to eat his flesh and drink his blood. Jesus also came back out of his grave. Jesus is a vampire zombie!
Actually, there are real-life vampires who consume human blood. Most are harmless and have their "victims'" consent. Of course, one of the problems with this counterculture/lifestyle is that it's a good way to get AIDS if you're not careful, but there are reasonable, responsible "vampires" and "victims" who are more careful about this. And yes, there are some people who just roleplay at being vampires without consuming any blood, human or otherwise.
Of course, none of these people have magical powers like turning into bats or ageless immortality.
There's only one way to explain all of this evil in the world - Dungeons & Dragons and Ozzy Osbourne! Where's Tipper Gore when you need her? I'm listening to Judas Priest backwards to find out where the next bloody goings-on will be.
Sorry, I just had flashback to the late 80's for a second there.
Uh none of the popular vampire films or series have anything to do with satanism.
And have you ever seen the crowd at a Twihard convention? Ooooh, soooo scary.
If you are talking about vampire the Masquerade, is it OWOD or CWOD? Also note it is a storytelling game. Not Satanism. Note that there is now NWOD too. Now if you are talking about the fetish, it is a sexual act and has nothing to do with Satanism.
There aren't any (human) vampires. There isn't any Satan, either. And while we're at it, Elvis is still dead, we actually landed on the moon and Obama was born in Hawaii.
"...therefore neither more nor less "imaginary" than any religion."
So we agree, it's all utter crap.
@breakerslion: No; actually, Jesus wasn't even the host of that meal. He was a guest just like the apostles.
(insert "alleged" into the above as required)
Supernatural vampires do not exist outside of the imagination of humans. If you believe otherwise and your age is in double digits, there is something wrong with you.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
