Those who DEFEND a Hindu prayer in our Congress, are GODLESS. There IS no other God than the God this country was formed under!

"There IS no other God than the God this country was formed under!"
Heh, you're right, there is no god.
Weird that not one of these idiots has actually quoted the "10 Commandments" - no other God before me etc, instead of just spouting their racism and outrage.
If only they read their babbles...
Dear Dumbfuck,
Hinduism is a religion which has a God. Not just one, but many. It's still a theistic religion, and therefore, not "Godless". Go beat yourself over the head with a dictionary, there's a good Fundie.
"There is no other God than the God this country was formed under!" How are things over there in Iraq, Dorrie? We don't feel that way over here in America. This country was founded under every God or Gods people living here want to worship or not worship by our Founding Fathers who installed a secular Constitution and freedom of religion.
Which one? The deist God that the Founding Fathers believed in, the Christian God, Allah, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster?
Personally, I prefer the FSM.
First of all, America is not founded under any God. Second, Hinduism has millions and millions of Gods (we lost count) so it is hardly Godless.
Third, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Hindu prayers because it does not violate any of your God-forsaken values, or turn the United states in any way into a Hindu nation.
So go slink the fuck back into your hole.
There IS no other God than the God this country was formed under!
Everyone else has said it, so I will too.
...what, Nature's God? Fair enough.
Now keep a few things in mind -- the colonies that formed the country were a bunch of different religions -- Anglican, Puritan, Catholic, Quaker, and Lutheran are the ones I can come up with off the top of my head. And among the Founding Fathers, the ones who actually created the United States, we had rather a lot of Unitarians, Deists, and those we would probably call agnostics or atheists outright.
Seriously, why don't you fundies actually read some mainstream history instead of your fundy revisionism?
@ Lamb of the Invisible Pink Unicorn:
Christians, Jews, and Muslims have the same god. They just address it differently.
"There IS no God in this country or any other!"
Fixed It.
The people who created religion can be forgiven for being ignorant sheep-herders who knew not hwat they were doing to the world, but in the 21st centuary what's your excuse?
1. This nation was not founded under a single god.
2."Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
See, if they can't have a Hindu prayer, they shouldn't have any SORT of prayer. That's how it goes: You either accept it all, or have none of it.
Heironeous, actually. There was a small sect devoted to Fharlanghn, but they were overruled. Most politicians nowadays pay homage to Olidamarra, but the extreme right-wing is devoted to Erythnul, I think, though a good case could be made for Hextor. Either way, they pretend they follow St. Cuthbert. The CIA's patron is Vecna, and personally, I'm a fan of Pelor and Boccob, though Moradin, Corellon Larethian, Yondalla, and Garl Glittergold are decent enough.
The natives worshipped Obad-Hai and Elhonna, mostly.
Hinduism existed way before Christianity. Secularism is increasing here in Europe.
Yet, Hinduism just keeps a-rolling on, like a Juggernaut, in India & other parts of the world; even here in the secular UK: the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple in Neasden, which Beatle George Harrison contributed funding in the construction of such.
...what, scared that your 'belie fs' will go the same way as Amun Ra, Zeus, Jupiter et al, in the wastebasket of irrelevant deities?! Good.
No 'proseltysing', threats of 'Turn or Burn', nor political insinuation by Hindus. PROTIP: In the mainly Hindu India - acknowledged as the most religious country on the planet - their political system is even more secular than the UK's Parliament. [/hyper-irony]

But on second thoughts, she would be a High Priestess of Bastet (Opalescence), so how about...:

“Those who DEFEND a Hindu prayer in our Congress, are GODLESS"
No, there are plenty of good christains who understand the 1st Amendment. And the demographics of American religion. The Hindus are also citizens, who are represented in Congress. or at least should be.
“There IS no other God than the God this country was formed under!”
The Constitution doesn’t say ‘Jesus,’ or ‘God,’ or ‘Christain,’ or the 10 Commandments, so shut your prayhole.
The government is secular, not Christain.
Confused?
