I have posted about this before. We have to start standing up and making sure NO tax dollars are used to fund science designed to refute the beliefs of the Christian majority. It is a waste of time and money.

There is really ONLY one logical explanation for the origin of complex, functionally specified, digitized genetic information. GOD CREATED IT — in SIX DAYS when He created the universe. Any other explanation can be torn apart.

It really irks me to know that a lot of tax dollars are wasted in places like government universities on efforts to explain “the origins of life” and the nature of the universe. It’s all there in Genesis — NO CHARGE! Just read what God has to say. God does not lie. So, why waste resources to “prove” that God’s Holy Word is false? It’s offensive that anyone would even try — let alone do that with MY money.

It is not just evolution we need to take out of schools. We need to address the whole scientific culture that says that we must “seek answers” to questions that we already KNOW the answer to. The only possible motive for that is the promotion of a deeply atheistic agenda.

The key word there is "beliefs" and since all you have are the said beliefs, it is not at all unreasonable to correct the many falsehoods those beliefs spawn with some good old-fashioned scientific observation.

One of the core foundations of the scientific process is falsifiability. It is exactly because your beliefs fail to address this, that they cannot be considered scientific or in any way testable. Of course any explanation can be torn apart, but that is exactly the point. An explanation that simply asks us to believe it on its own merit is the shady one. Why can't you see this?

Most of the free information out there is bullshit. Another inevitable law of the universe. If you don't work for something, you will get crap in return.

God doesn't lie because god says he doesn't lie. That's really convenient, isn't it? Tell me please, what is it that prohibits any of us from making that same claim, and if we did, why would/wouldn't you believe it?

The pursuit of knowledge is not about destroying your religion... its about finding answers that work and which are based on sound, observable and verifiable evidence. If your religion stands in the way then so be it. I for one don't really give a shit. If tomorrow there came to light some manner of data which conclusively proved that everything we know about the world is completely wrong, I would respectfully accept it. That's all there is to it, chump.

Atheism is not a motive, though it often is an inevitable byproduct. That is really the thing you're afraid of isn't it?

Yes, it would be. That's why scientists follow the evidence, then the ones with the inclination and time 'translate' it for the public. Sometimes that means addressing common beliefs that, as the evidence leads, are wrong. We used to know that sun revolves around the earth. That lightning comes from caves. That there are four elements. That giraffes got long necks by stretching. That leopards were hybrids of lions and pards. That king cheetahs were a different species. That black panthers were a different species. That lions in the Americas were female African lions and the males were very secretive. That dead meat created maggots. That diseases were caused by bad air, or imbalanced humors. Do you really think we'd be better off if there were people who hadn't wondered what really causes disease, or what 'stuff' is really made of, or why things behave the way they do? Where do you think we'll go when you get your way and people quit trying to find out new things?

Don't worry your pretty little Americentric fundie heads, sweetcakes. No US taxpayer money went into the building of the Large Hadron Collider. Because it's in Switzerland. Jealous, much? Or just ignorant? USA != The World.

And, just as the shitload of evidence for evolution that destroys the 'Creation' story in the Bible biologically, once it succeeds in discovering the Higgs-Boson, it'll destroy the same 'Creation' story cosmologically.

'Godidit' is about to get royally raped by science. So drop trou, part those arsecheeks, and brace yourselves, fundies. After all, your 'answers' in the Bible didn't contribute to the advancements which provided you with the modern world you live in (and clearly take for granted) today. If you don't like what science has done for us, go and live in a cave, wearing only animal furs.

Name me one technological advancement to humanity that the Bible has given us? Look around you. Everything you see is as a result of science, or manufactured application of such.

More like the fact that the world isn't as you wish it was, is the reason for the promotion of a deeply Christian fundamentalist agenda. Your insinuating yourselves into politics (GOP) is proof of that.

I never knew Yale, Harvard, MIT etc were state-owned educational establishments?! And what about Oxford, Cambridge, Sheffield, Manchester, Hull, etc here in the UK? And Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Keio & Waseda Universities in Japan? Do they receive US Federal research grants? News to me if they do.

Americentricism It should be illegal. As should fundie stupidity.

A free hint: There's already a staggering body of damn solid evidence that crushes the account of creation in Genesis. Yes, already. We don't need to pay for it any more; it's pretty unlikely that there's giant problems that could change the whole fundamental understanding of how the universe and life on Earth came to be. There are still spots that haven't been figured out.

Another hint: A huge chunk of that research was not done by Americans. If you shut down, say, biological or cosmological research on religious grounds, the breakthroughs will come from other parts of the world, the smart people will leave, and whadda you know, you find yourself living in a country not unlike Iran. (Religious folks in charge, and your enemies got all of the kick-ass weapons researchers.)

When you're willing to start by giving up religion's tax-exempt status, pay your back-taxes over the entire stretch of the union's existence (Plus interest and inflation; Render Unto Caesar!), and cease accepting federal funding of any kind, then we can talk about scaling back science's probes into your domain a bit.

And what's the matter, really? Are you afraid your faith will be questioned, even a teensy matter, by a discovery? That you'll actually have to have faith of your own as opposed to doctrinal nonsense?

If you fear science so much, please cease using its fruits in any form. No vaccination for you. No antibiotics. No refrigeration. No indoor plumbing. No computer. Hell, while we're at it? No fire to cook the rabbit you won't be able to nail without the gun that arms engineering brought you. After all, science is all evil, all the time, always furthering that evil secular agenda.

Come to think of it, actually, most FSTDT regulars would love to see you lot scraping out a true to Dog existence in a hut somewhere, wearing only single fiber clothing, working only six days a week, living 30 year spans, slaughtering each other for reciting the Sunday babble wrong (The sabbath is actually Saturday, kids)...

Then again, schadenfreude really only feeds that silly persecution complex you as the noisy minority in the repressive majority have.
