Not how that works. How do you explain significantly higher rates of miscarries, problematic pregnancy, etc, in teenagers compared to adults.

That's not completely true. Or at least a lot of the time, people would try to marry their teenage daughters off to a guy who already made a good living, who was usually a few years older. Probably still pretty young by today's standards though.
Also, girls were obviously expected to be virgins at marriage, while it was accepted or even expected from boys to sleep around or visit prostitutes beforehand.
All in all, not a good system as far as I'm concerned...

That figure is an average; as with most historical life expectancy figures, if you made it past the age of five, chances were you would live into your sixties at least.

Also, how is this system supposed to work? That girl you just had to have will be a woman in five or so years. So if men want girls, not women, what happens when the girl grows up? Do you just toss aside the now woman for a new girl? Or if you keep the first girl what happens when you've rendered the girl infertile by getting her pregnant in her preteen or teen years? Pregnancy is not recomended for mother 19 and under. How in the hell is that reproductive value?
