I've seen a bunch of people dying from chemo but never anyone dying from cancer
I've never seen anyone not being treated who dies of cancer it always seems like "the treatment" thst does them in.

Then you have extremely limited experiences. I lost a good friend to cancer when she depended on herbal supplements to cure her. After a year of horror, while it metastasized to her liver, kidneys and spine, it was definitely the cancer that killed her.
People can, and do die from cancer, you idiot. Chemo is not fun but it's often a last-ditch effort to save a cancer sufferer's life. In other words, it's the lesser of two evils.
Fuck you, you prick. My mum's cancer was too far advanced for any chemo to work. I watched her go from a normal, functioning human being to being dead within 4 months. Tell me again how cancer doesn't kill folk?

Did the chemo postpone the inevitable? We can't always tell, but probably. I'd guess you have seen people having chemo who die at the age of sixty. That doesn't mean that the chemo caused it. No chemo might well have meant that the person died of cancer . . . at forty.
Look up "en cuirasse." You may want to avoid the image search. Before modern medicine, cancer meant obstructed bowels, rotting flesh, deformity, and unrelenting pain. Not to mention a far lower life expectancy. You are living a charmed life, compared with our ancestors. I know at least one person whose life was saved by chemo. Know anybody whose life was saved by cancer?
My grandmother had a great aversion to seeking medical attention. She died of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, undiagnosed until days before her death. By the time she felt bad enough to actually see someone about it,she was beyond all hope of treatment. Meanwhile my cousin and manager are cancer free after chemo.
The treatment only 'kills' people by failing to work. Unfortunately, that still happens. It is getting better - it used to be the case that the doctor would say you have cancer, and more or less advise you to make sure your will was up to date. Now, overall, somebody getting a cancer diagnosis has pretty much a 50/50 chance of death, with their chances improving the earlier it's caught. However, treatments do not work 100% of the time, even if the cancer is caught extremely early.
Ask a nurse who works at an oncology ward in a hospital or in hospice care, and more than likely they will tell you of stories about people with terminal cancer.
It's not the chemotherapy or radiation therapy, it's sadly the cancer that disrupted normal body function making the person unable to live.
