I think my choice would be to graciously accept his love as a means of stalling his tortures until I could escape and send the men in white coats after him, along with the police.
I'd choose to hit him in the head with a shovel and call the cops on him.
I would run as fast as I could in the opposite direction, making as much noise as possible to attract attention to the Buffalo Bill that's stalking me.

FEAR. It is not love. It is not respect, it is flat out fear. It amounts to the asshole father that wails on his kid for whatever he deems to be bad at the time, for random and arbitrary reason, then looks you in the eyes, and screams "YOU SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO?!" There. Is. No. Love. A loving God would not even have the basement. He'd have the door boarded up and sealed. Period.
