I need not respect a person who does not believe in GOD
Actually, on Yahoo! Answers, you do... it's part of the terms of service you agreed to when you created your account...
What did God say about not following the rules...?
Why? They deserve it just as much as you do. Everyone should be respected on their attitudes, morals, and every thing about them, not just their religion.
I think that pretty much all the torment, death and destruction wrought upon mankind by all the myriad religions over the millennia can be attributed primarily to the underlying notion espoused in this one, simple sentence.
I need not respect anyone who DOES believe in God. Nor respect my right to NOT believe in one, or even respect me. Period.
So I triple rebuke you. :P
Suit yourself, but that non-believer may save your life, sign your paycheck, or approve your home loan some day.
Respect has to be earned, and no one has to respect anyone, but if you don't want to show respect, then don't expect any in return. Remember, you reap what you sow.

A child having an 'imaginary friend' is part of having a childhood. They grow up to become well-balanced and intelligent people.
But it involves realising that 'imaginary friend' is just that - imaginary
Anyone who can't let go of an 'imaginary friend' even before puberty isn't worthy of recognition as a sane, normal person, never mind respect.

You cannot spell 'Believe' without the word LIE . And anyone who accepts LIES as facts doesn't have the right to be respected.
Respect is not a right, but a privilege that has to be earned . And you have none , pal. Least of all from me.
Confused?
