Ah yes! there is nothing more harmless than the summer solstice. Nothing nicer like worshipping the sun for those young hippies. After all sun worship has been used by so many notables as Hitler, babyloninans and egyptians, knights templar, illuminati, I could go on and on!
The power of the sun has been understood by those with occult knowledge throughout the ages. Sun worship is everywhere in the occult. The nazi swastika itself is the symbol of the sun (taken from asian traditions, original symbol of the sun).
What lies in the occult powers of the sun that the elite of our world use to manipulate and control us?

It sheds warmth and light. It is an enormous source of energy. It has no "supernatural" powers, though.
No, Hitler was not a sun worshipper.
The swastika was a symbol on the entrance to the art college Hitler attended, prior to the first world war. He saw it each day on his way to classes.
The swastika was not only an asian symbol, but was also used by indigenous North Americans, Africans and even Europeans. The relationship ends there;it has little, if anything, to do with sun worship.
jhessel, I would recommend that you visit a library, and spend the next few years immersed in history and anthropology, until you can cease and desist from pulling phantoms out of your ass and smelling up the internet with your shit!
Papabear: It is built with bits and pieces of many different ancient religions. A lot of the Jesus myth was borrowed from Mythraism, based on Mythras (the Son of God) who supposedly lived some 800 years prior to Jesus. There are many similarities between Mythras and Jesus. It is considered no small coincidence that the apostle Paul's home town was the center for one of Mythraism's largest sects.
Star Cluster -- Yeah, I know that, but I had in mind a similar pattern between Jesus and more ancient, actual Sun gods; Ra, perhaps, and the like.
Oh dear.
Hate to tell you this, but the Asian traditions for that involve it only as a good luck charm. The Zoroastrians incorporated sun mythology, but interestingly the Zoroastrians were the source and inspiration of a lot of Abrahamic mythology, so really be careful where you're chucking stones - oh wait you've already chucked a clumsy rock in that direction yourself!
Oh and I'm rather fond of the summer solstice in Australia, of course we tend to know it better as Christmas.
Evil sun 'rising' in the morning and forcing me to get up! How truly Draconian!

While I'm not sure what you mean exactly by 'the elite of our world' I'm assuming you are talking of the powers that be (of course it could be the illuminati, liberals, atheists, democrats, space aliens, demons etc.) they 'use' the sun to manipulate and control us by using the sun as a celestial timepiece, marking off days, months and even years with it. Yes that occult sun has control over you even as we speak, jhessel, can't you feel it's demonic influence? Don't you know that although you might not see it now, it lies in wait on the other side of the earth, selecting it's moment to spring from the horizon and bombard you with it's devil rays! The sun knows all, and he is expecting you! Try to run, there is no escape (unless you relocate to the poles, then you can deal with it less) from horrors of the sun! Oh the evil, how it burns me so!

I never heard that story before, and I am a little dubious, given that AH never actually attended classes (his application was rejected, twice). Got a cite?
Yeah, considering I don't have the money for an air conditioning, and the hottest days of the year are at the doorstep, I can agree with you - at the moment I can't stand Sun either.
Papabear:
Actually, the Egyptian myth that seems really close to Christianity is the Osiris story. Osiris was murdered by his brother Set. His wife Isis collected the pieces, sewed them back together, and managed to resurrect him. (Minus one significant bit--which makes the conception of Horus something of a miracle, and also meant that Isis became the inventor of sex toys. Pretty cool goddess, IMO.) This parallels the Christian tradition that the women were most closely connected to Jesus's resurrection.
Osiris became the ruler of the land of the dead; it is his job to judge souls. If they're deemed worthy, they get to the Egyptian equivalent of heaven. If they're nasty people, there's a thing under Osiris's throne called the Eater of Souls . . . pretty descriptive, really. (And, IMO, far more moral than the notion of Hell. None of this eternal torture stuff, just gulp . . . smack . . . no more Hitler. Or Charles Manson, or fill in the blank.)
Oh, and Horus ended up floating downstream in a papyrus basket and was raised by mortals. So methinks the Jews did some borrowing as well. Actually, I've heard speculation that the Jews may have originally been Atenists, but I'm not sure how much research went into that one. It makes a certain amount of intuitive sense, though.
I'm sorry, is my mythology nerd showing? How very embarrassing.

I've begun worshipping the sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can see the sun. It's there for me every day. And the things it brings me are quite apparent all the time: heat, light, food, a lovely day. There's no mystery, no one asks for money, I don't have to dress up, and there's no boring pageantry. And interestingly enough, I have found that the prayers I offer to the sun and the prayers I formerly offered to "God" are all answered at about the same 50-percent rate.

Irene - Connections between Hebraic and Egyptian mythologies aren't the only ones that you find in Judaism and Christianity (though Horus/Osiris/Isis is highly significant as you point out).
There's a story in Norse mythology of Wotan/Odin, the supreme god, sacrificing himself on a tree (with eyes plucked out), only to come back to life within days. Hmmmm....
And don't even get started on the borrowings from Babylonian... cause you won't find an end to that...
Hitler: Not a son worhipper
Babylonians: Can't say for sure, but I've always thought they just worshipped a pantheon of various incestuous gods just like the greeks and romans
Egyptians: They had a sun worhipping phase but they got over it... before overthrowing the pharoah who implemented the monotheistic sun worshipping faith.
Knights Templar: Full Name of Group is 'The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon' (figure it out)
Illuminati: Well the Bavarian Illuminati (the one most people talk about [according to wikipedia]) didn't deny membership to agnostics and atheists... ok, you got me on that one, they were evil sun worshipping demons
Stop reading Dan Brown novels you... sad sad person...

Jack shit.
*is one of the occult Egyptians, pets Sun*
Mm, okay, let's just take this dreadful Satanic source of heat and light away and then you can freeze sanctimoniously to death along with the rest of the world. No, nothing there worth appreciating at all, was there?
Unfortionately many people trace to the sun worshipers what they should trace to Jewish sources. Samson means to shine like the sun "Shimshon" and Delilah has in it the word night "Laylah". Within the story of Samson is a cosmilogical theme of Light and Darkness already in the 13th Century B.C.E. Also the Samson story has him coming from Timnah while a Messianic figure coming from Timan has bright beams of light comming out of his hands, their is the hidding of his power. Literally the text says, he has Karan coming out of his hands or that he haas horns of power in his hands or at his sides. Remember that Samson burned his hands pulling fire brands out of the burning house of His wife killed in a battle following the wedding feast and with tears running down his face he SAVES SOME STICKS OF LIGHT OUT OF THE HOUSE. The house is ment to be a picture of the world. The WIFE is ment to be a picture of the Church. Notice that the wife is a Philistine wife why? because God loves not just the called out of Israel but the whole world. That she does not cherish his truths and MYSTERY about the LION and the HONEY is the reason she could not fully come under the protection of God. It never gives the name of the wife but does give the name of the SISTER who is the one the father tried to give to SAMSON instead of the first wife that he assumed that he hated now. The sister was never taken by samson but later he felt responsible for her under the Leverite Law the nearest kinsman must marry or give a child to the woman without a male heir. So he goes down to Gaza to rescue her. That Jesus is the one who carries away the gates of the city in the picture of Samson's ripping off the gates of Death and Hell is seen. We are like the picture of Delilah. Our lives are in darkness and Jesus the Samson of the story must rise like the SUN (SON) with healing in his Sun Rays. Jesus is the light of the world all the way back into the Samson Story. Thank God, Thank
god for His Light that came into the world. Google the word DANKAPPORETH or dankapporeth.
"What lies in the occult powers of the sun that the elite of our world use to manipulate and control us?"
Duh ? So not-worshipping-the-sun would put down the New World Order Conspiracy ? Convenient, I was running out on tinfoil.
Confused?
