All people are not equal.
American Citizens > Illegal immigrants.
and liberals will try to pull the constitution on me, and say that "all men are created equal".
Which if you want to follow that one, you would also have to claim that the state is directly connected to the religion of Christianity.
Do you guys remember the line "... that they are endowed by their Creator..."

"and liberals will try to pull the constitution on me, and say that 'all men are created equal'."
That is not in the Constitution. The phrase is in the Declaration of Independence.
1) Creator was a generic term. Deists were rather popular and used the term frequently. It could just as easily refer to the deistic god.
2) That's the Declaration of Independence. It is not law.
3) We'd more or less turn to the Bill of Rights actually.
Wut?
So you're saying that "all men are created equal" is a Christian maxim?
OK, and you're saying that you're a Christian?
Are you sure you know what you're doing?
and liberals will try to pull the constitution on me, and say that "all men are created equal".
That's from the Bill of Rights.
BURN!
The phrase appears in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. It was a convention to use such terms. The words refer to a generic, one-size-fits-all creator, which could have been Elmer Fudd for all anybody cared.
Actually human = human, no matter what labels you apply.
But, unfortunately for you, Declaration of Independence =/= Constitution.
Your are an idiot and always will be. Thanks for showing up.
So, what's the difference between an illegal immigrant and what your forefathers did a mere couple of hundred years ago?
Oh, that's right, illegal immigrants aren't trying to kill you and force you off your land.
Do you guys remember the line "... that they are endowed by their Creator..."
Yeah, but some of us are just a lot more endowed. Sorry Slaayer, but I can understand why you are frustrated.
Let's not get silly about this illegal immigrants versus Americans thing. Not unless you really want to go into definitions of legality and illegality going back to when people began moving into this continent.
Most if not all progress in this country were by immigrants or descendants of immigrants - including the Founding Fathers.
Want to dispute that, asshole?
Where to start? "All men are created equal" is in the Declaration, which is not law, merely a statement of our intention to become a soverign nation. That was written by Jefferson, a deist. He was demonstrably not a Christian, and re-wrote the bible w/o Christ. The Founding Fathers clearly did not believe in equality for all, despite what was written, as women and non-whites had few rights. Fortunatey most of us have moved forward since then.
Hah.
My great-great-grandfather was an illegal immigrant from Eastern Europe. He was five and was scared, so he hid under my great-great-great grandmother's dress.
That's right, tell the world: Dr. Funkenstein is directly descended from an illegal (but not a brown one! Maybe that makes it OK now?).
Do you guys remember the line "... that they are endowed by their Creator..."
You mean from the non-legal document known as the Declaration of Independence? Yes, I know it quite well. Well enough to know that it stated the reasons that Colonial America was breaking away from the British Empire and was not a legal document in any way. Which seems to be more than you know.
Also, what makes you think that an ambiguous phrase like "their Creator" is referring to the god of the bible?
"Their Creator" being "Nature's god," not "The Christian God," so your argument is moot, and all people ARE created equal.
Just because some of the ideas in the bible are similar to some of the ideas in secular morality, does not mean that our modern morality comes from the bible. If our legal system / bill of rights / founding documents etc are derived from the bible, why are 1/2 the commandments not even against the law (adultery, graven images(!), idol worship, coveting thy neighbor's wife/ass, etc.) Even killing is only illegal in some instances, or we'd all be vegetarians, oh wait, plants are alive... so actually we'd all be dead.

Yeah, coz a creator God is unique to Christianity. Idiot.
"liberals will try to pull the constitution on me"
Document Identificaton Fail!
I've known the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution since 4th grade. Apparently Slaayer was sleeping in class.

American Citizens > Illegal immigrants.
Americans are illegal immigrants. Our ancestors came from Europe and forced the native people to live like them. Maybe you should learn some history.
Which if you want to follow that one, you would also have to claim that the state is directly connected to the religion of Christianity.
Treaty of Trioipoly disagrees.
Do you guys remember the line "... that they are endowed by their Creator..."
Maybe they were refering to mother nature. Christianity isn't the only belief system with a creator.
Apart from trying to pick-n-choose from the Constitution, have you considered that illegal inmigrants are subject to law too, with rights and duties, like anybody else?. Their expulsion doesn't mean that they're sub-human.
Wow, not one but two posters on here tried to debunk the claim by saying it's not in the Constitution, it's in the Bill of Rights.
The Bill of Rights is what the first ten amendments to the Constitution are commonly called. Therefore, according to their claims, this jackass would be correct.
It was a nice try. At least you knew it wasn't in the Constitution, so half credit. Study up a little and then you can go back to tearing fundie arguments apart.
That's from the Declaration of Independence, tard. And Creator is a generic term that does not specifically refer to anything. It could mean your god, your parents, or even the female Creator-goddess of the Pagan mythos (who, by the way, I like alot more than your god. she never orders the slaughter of entire nations).
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
