If there should ever be an ultimate "Rapture" or "Judgement" for those who have wronged, the most devout christians should be
wholly swallowed in it. I've seen less of what their idea of sin is from themselves that any other group of people. I want to orient this
lambastation solely around David J. Stewart/ others of "jesus-is-savior.com".
Saying "We are all equal in the eyes of 'God'" while following it in immediance with "OBEY YOUR HUSBAND" is through and through a
blatant and disgusting contradiction. This is a direct testimonial which I have not edited (you can see this clearly through grammar and
spelling) that someone submitted to him as a question.
"I SAW YOUR WEBSITE. I HAVE A QUESTION. I AM DIVORCED. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE
BOTH SAVED. I AM SAVED 24 YRS. HE GOT SAVED WHEN HE MET ME. HE WAS ALSO AN
ELDER IN OUR OLD CHURCH. ANYWAY HE JUST KIND OF TURNED ON ME OVER THE
YEARS. HE WAS HITTING ME AND THE KID. HE WAS ALSO BOTH VERBALLY AND
EMOTIONALLY ABUSIVE. IT WAS A HARD DECISION BUT I HAD TO LEAVE. MY EX
HUSBAND WAS DESTROYING MY CHILDREN'S SELF ESTEEM AND SELF WORTH. NOT TO
MENTION MINE. IS IT REALLY SUCH A HORRORABLE THING THAT I DID? I REALLY
DON'T THINK I DID THE WRONG THING. THE KIDS ARE BETTER NOW, AND I FEEL
SAFE. OK MY BROTHER IN CHRIST, PLEASE GET BACK TO ME."
The answer, of course, which should be of no surprise to you is "No!", which he accompanies by "You never mentioned anything you
did wrong. What did you do to cause him to be abusive?" and a paragraphs worth of continuance about how when women are not obedient to
their husbands, they get what they deserve. So what? The bible must say that women never leave childlike state. That they are always to be
disciplined. Funny how the being responsible for procreation, creating more human beings, is the one who has to obey. I do recall the bible
saying that 'God' is the creator of life, now if anything, don't you think that procreating would make women more an image of 'god'liness than a
man? I'm not just saying that because in my personal belief of Wiccanism, woman is by nature nuturing and the mother of the earth, but
because it is the creation of a life by something other than 'God'.
'God' may have created your embryos, but what happens from that point is scientific and depends on a womans own ability to care
for herself and the child growing inside her. If she is cold, lost, and starving, 'God' isn't going to keep that baby alive. He is not creating nor
preserving that life. If the punishment for 'sin' is death, a baby, who has not yet had an opportunity to 'sin', is going to die. So not only is the
'sins for death' policy running out, so is the 'god creates all life' and 'women are inferior' nifty little clauses some arrogant man invented to plug into a book to help him get his way.
I'm still working on this.
