Either the Bible can be trusted or it can't. I don't think it has anything to do with Jesus' toes. Jesus being human and subject to pain is not a sign of imperfection but an untrustworthy Bible is!
There is no middle path as far as I can see it. Either the Bible is perfectly trustworthy or it isn't!
