Unless a homosexual couple is never going to have sex, you will be sinning because you can't get married. Also, it says it's sin in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Now, people translate that verse, because it isn't what they want to hear. You guys waste your time. It is what it says. Deal with it. Translate verses is not the way to go. You listen to what God said. The new age churches are translating verses. This is what false prophets do. People are deceived by them because it is what they want to hear. Look at the verse for what it is. It clearly states that it is sin.

Technically, we 'new-agers' have access to direct Coptic-to-English translations of legitimate scripture from the early christian era, which make the bible read like a child's bogeyman story.
Which is all it is, of course.
[1 Corinthians...] Another regurgitation of Saul! There's the culprit! He did it! He huffed the kittens!
I read what it said, and it's all crap.
Just the idea that god only hates homosexual MALES, yet approves and endorses; slavery, cannibalism of children, incest, infanticide, and military endorsed rape makes his opinion on anything moot.
They translate that verse because nobody speaks classical Greek nowadays. Or do you think that St Paul spoke Jacobean English?. Furthermore, how are you 100% sure that they haven´t misinterpreted what he said when translated into the KJV? And well, marriage is a formal convention from society, so the notion is "if you can´t marry..........". By your standards, Adam and Eve were sinning too. Or Abraham and Jacob, who had Agar, Zilpna and Bilhna.
The new age churches are translating verses.
The horrors! Why can't they just read the original KJV?
Now, people translate that verse, because it isn't what they want to hear
Or just ignore it, since they do not share the BigSkyFairy belief.
Does your church forbid women to wear gold and pearl jewelry, designer dresses, and fancy hairdos? Does it have specific rules on the treatment of widows, grouped by age and wealth? Does it forbid the eating of blood pudding? No? Then STFU.
It is what it says
And what it says is in 2,000 year old Greek, which I doubt this guy's an expert in. In any event, a similar list in Matthew 15:18, spoken by Jesus, not that sexual misfit, Paul, leaves the word out.
Anyway, 6:10 says the same thing about "revilers" - those who "abuse or criticize someone or something bitterly or scornfully". Care to throw the first stone?
Why is this on this site? You know that's old. I don't fight with people about their beliefs like I used to. I discovered that love was the greatest teaching of the Bible. I actually made an apology thread for the way I acted. I don't agree with the way I acted when I did this. I had just started learning about the Bible. Probably a great percentage of new Christians or ones that are new at studying God's word, will act like this. They want to tell everyone the Gospel, but haven't yet learned how. Which is what happened with me and I found that love is the greatest commandment of all and is the fulfillment of the law.
"You listen to what God said."
No. That's what St. Paul said. The same saint who said women must remain silent in the churches and must be submissive to their husbands. (1 Corinthians 14:34-35)
If God is against homosexuality he can tell others himself. He doesn't need someone else to do it for him.
yes, and the wholly babble (< love that one) also says than when bandits enter your house to steal from you, you should let them rape your daughter instead! such good morals based in modern society and thinking!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
