When was the last time a Christian killed Jews in mass? Are you going to tell me Hilter was a Catholic Christian?
[Next post:]
Yes I do condone the total distruction of societies and paganism that is beyond any hope: For example the Aztecs where they practiced Human Sacrafice? Or would you have sent them to Siberia or re-education camps?

Yes, Adolf Hitler was. He even entertained the idea of becoming a priest when he was young.
Oh, and Germany was a predominantly Catholic country. Probably still is.
Jews don't go to mass.
Or do you mean en masse?
You answer your own question, anything except extermination. And why sending them to concentration camps or Siberia?, have they done anything wrong to you, as if they were delinquents?
Germany wasn't, and isn't, a predominantly Catholic country. Austria, Hitler's cradle WAS. Well, maybe south Germany is, but not predominantly. And by the way, Hitler never entertained the idea of being a priest. It was Stalin, Orthodox priest, to be more precise.
Yes I do condone the total distruction of societies . . . for example the Aztecs where they practiced Human Sacrafice?
Oh, you want it both ways.
Ok, even leaving aside the Hitler question, I feel the need to direct Starcatcher to look up European Christendom, The Entire History Of. There's a lot of Jew-killing all over the place. For "en masse", you probably want the Eastern Orthodox Cossacks in Russia, or the Catholic Inquisition.
In addition to, y'know, the whole Hitler thing.
I assume you mean en masse. Uh, Germany was the most Christian country in Europe, if not the world, before World War II. Those SA bullies and street fighters bullying Jews in the '30s? Christians. The SS Einsatzgruppen that followed the army into Poland and Russia with the express purpose of killing Jew and Communist political officials? Christians. The SS guards at the concentration camps who enthusiastically herded Jews (and Slavs and gypsies and homosexuals and Russian POW's) into gas chambers? Christians. Yes, sir. All those happy warriors were Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Methodists, Evangelicals ... you name the denomination, it provided the workers for the Final Solution. When you survey all of history, Christians are very much in contention for the All-Time Mass Slaughter Championship.
Obviously, Hitler was not a TrueChristian, because he was, ugh, a Catholic.
Only TrueChristians advocate the total destruction of societies whose beliefs differ from theirs.
As an aside, the Christians that did in the Aztecs were Catholics, but, of course, they weren't TrueChristians.
"When was the last time a Christian killed Jews in mass? Are you going to tell me Hilter was a Catholic Christian? "
Not particularly fundie, just uninformed. (And he mispelled Hister.)
"Yes I do condone the total distruction of societies and paganism that is beyond any hope: For example the Aztecs where they practiced Human Sacrafice?"
I wouldn't have a problem with total disruption of societies that were very skilled at sacrificing the still-beating heart of their war captive to their gods. Oh, that maul of a word is 'destruction'? Well, total destruction is not usually necessary. If you could prove the human-sacrifice element within that society was actually genetic (and know what the word genetic means, for that matter) then you might have a case.
And, ok everyone, we all know he was trying to say "en masse" not "in mass" (which would certainly make things more interesting).
#1 Hitler was by his own account, christian.
It was stated in "Mein Kampf", and many speeches.
He also painted a series of pietas.
#2 You are just another christian bully/wannabe murderer.
When the Aztecs were sacrificing humans to their gods, Europeans were burning humans at the stake for heresy, being witches, etc., etc..
There is a theory that the lack of large, domesticated animals in the Aztec empire meant that human sacrifice could not gradually be replaced with animal sacrifice. The Europeans had not even that excuse for their atrocities.
And yes, Hitler was a catholic christian.
The Gulags had better conditions than what was done to the aztecs...
And to stop human sacrifice, we would have educated them. No point sacrificing maidens to the rain god if you know that rain has nowt to do with "god".
"For example the Aztecs where they practiced Human Sacrafice"
Who are the Aztecs? You mean the empire who built Tenochtitlan and Tlatelolco? THAT'S THE MEXICA EMPIRE! BIG DIFFERENCE! Also, what part of "These guys never heard of Jehova/Jesus because they were isolated from Christianity" do you idiots don't get?
I'm not going to try and defend the Aztecs but I will point out that plenty of societies throughout history have had repellent, ( by our, modern day standards), religious practices and most of them have changed those practices without the use of genocide by outside agencies. Cannabilism amongst the Fiji islanders being a case in point.
I would also say that without Chrisianity and it's filial relationship with Judaism, Jews would not have been seen as a problem in the first place and, therefore, would not have required any form of solution, final or otherwise.
Confused?
