I hope every as*hole who went along with dehydrating and starving Terri to death suffers a painful death by natural causes [skull and crossbones]

Terri, as she used to be, was already dead. The Terri that died was merely a living husk of a dead woman.
In Christian terms, her body was being kept alive after her soul departed.
In Geek terms, she was a zombie.
I cannot believe that the Atheist community would oppose keeping the woman alive. HELLLOOOOO! There is no afterlife, you morons! This life is all she had, and there is NOTHING after this. But you just have to oppose everything that the moronic fundies are saying, like some sort of a reflexive, knee-jerk reaction. People have said she was suffering, no she was not (that's the whole point of the "vegetative state", idiots), besides even if she was suffering, removing her food supply wouldn't make it any more pleasant (the poor woman took SEVERAL days to die, because of starvation), and as an atheist, I personally believe that there is no amount of suffering that can top oblivion. Removing food supply or oxygen or any other form of life support is fucking murder, regardless of the will of the individual. What if YOU were in her place? What if you left a will to "pull the plug"? What if the very next fucking day they came up with a way to repair or replace damaged neurons, huh? "Hope", people, is defiance, and loss of it, is failure.

It was fucking pointless to keep the body alive, she was brain-dead. The fundies denied all medical evidence and used her for their cause, to whip up the fundamentalist base against the medical and legal system. Dominionist wedge tactics.
"repair or replace damaged neurons" Even if they had such procedures this would be Terri how? Even if we'd been doing stem cell research, which Fundamentalists have been blocking for years, and could regrow her brain it would be a new brain. Terri was gone.
Coma patient without brain degeneration have been kept alive for years for this reason and had Terri been of that state she be still in that bed or have woken up. Brain dead is dead.
I myself would not want to be kept alive if I'd be in a coma. I cannot even imagine just lieing there, not being able to do anything, maybe conscious, maybe not. Not being able to tell anyone when I am "there". Just vegetating for years on and on. It would be my worst nightmare.

Good for you. Make your own decisions based on that. Don't presume to tell anyone else what they would or should prefer.

"What if YOU were in her place?"
As I said previously, If I were brain dead with no hope of recovery, depleting my family's resources and preventing my wife from moving on with her life I would like my doctor to inject me with a lethal dose and end the nightmare. I have discussed this with my wife, and she understand my wishes. There shouldn't be a problem with it.
Unfortunately, do-gooders like you can't seem to see it that way.

Is this meant as parody or do you really want the burden of proof to be on you ?

I can see your point, but medical science is always advancing, and can now pick up on activity in all parts of the brain, which can help to determine whether or not a person is conscious, or whether or not they are recovering or have potential to be cured. A few years ago this technology was not available. It is not always the answer, but it may offer hope in certain cases.
Confused?
