I agree therse always 2 ways to look at a situation.
But the creationist believes that God made it that way.
Evolutionist believe it evolved that way.
Niether one can prove it. But the creationist admit theirs is a religion.
Evolutionist dont.
Both must BELIEVE it happened.

Reading through FSTDT and lurking on RR and such, I have to wonder, how many never go to school?
i dont want to even guess
Um, no?
Evolution doesn't believe, we know....and no, evolution is not the explanation for how the world began...so technically, the two cannot be compared.
And no, scientific knowledge is not a religion...hopefull when you start grade six they'll be able to teach you this
I find it interesting that these idiots so conveniently forget the element of, oh I dunno, WORSHIP? that is the main definition of religion?
I believe the sun will rise tomorrow, that doesn't mean I'll bow down and ask it for a pony come the dawn.
We can both prove it, but you don't have any evidence.
It's not a religion. Evolution doesn't control my life. I don't have to spread it. And nobody else is tortured in the afterlife for not believing in it.

So that's how it works. I was so confused before...
"Niether one can prove it. But the creationist admit theirs is a religion.

No, creationists don't admit it's a religion. They don't because they hope to get it taught in school. They pretend it's science instead which fools only themselves as anyone who actually knows what science is can tell right away that creationism isn't it.
Evolution is obviously not a religion. Anyone who thinks otherwise is free to point out which god is worshiped, what rituals are performed, what priesthood exists, what rites are used and where meetings of "evolutionists" are held so that they can practice their religion.
"Both must BELIEVE it happened."
You "believe" all you want; I'll accept that it happened based on evidence.
Yep, only two ways to look at this. If you don't count Christians and other people that believe God created original life but then let evolution take its course. Or the Deist that believes God put the laws of nature into motion and let them do their thing. Or the people that think aliens created us through advanced science. Or the Buddhists who believe it is completely irrelevant if anything was created or who did it.
I guess there's not only two ways.. huh... but out of all those ways, I think "God snapped his fingers and poofed everything into existence over six days." makes the least sense.
I'm serious here. If most people do go to school, then what in the world are they being taught there? Are the educational systems in the Western world such massive failures?
I guess people are such massive failures. While the classes IMHO were okay, I always saw many people not paying attention. Also: Who says that the people we meet here aren't the homeschooled-by-fundies or sent-to-Jihad-High-school exceptions to the rule.
