Last week, the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios interviewed Family Research Council vice president Jerry Boykin and self-proclaimed ex-terrorist Kamal Saleem about their new novel, “The Coalition.”
He said that Christians have to tell Muslims that they are “sinning” just as one would tell a son living with his girlfriend that he is not “okay with God”:
“We have to stand against evil. It’s like when your neighbor is sinning and do you love him, do you love him enough to tell him he’s sinning? Do you love him enough, one of your children, to tell them that what they’re doing is wrong, living with his girlfriend is a sin? Do you love him that much or are you going to take the easy way out and not tell him and let him go on thinking that he’s okay with God because he really loves this girl he’s living with?”
“We’ve got to love the Muslims enough to stand up against the evil that we see them perpetrating in the name of Allah, but at the same time we’ve got to offer them the Gospel of Jesus Christ in one way or another,” he added.

Jerry, could you provide the book, chapter and verse in the Bible where it says, "You shall not live together before marriage?" I don't find it anywhere. I see lots of places that criticize or penalize women for not being virgins when they marry, but not a single word about men being virgins.
“We’ve got to love the Muslims enough to stand up against the evil that we see them perpetrating in the name of Allah, but at the same time we’ve got to offer them the Gospel of Jesus Christ in one way or another,” he added.
Yeah. You do that, Jer.
Make sure you have 911 on speed dial when you do.
"It’s like when your neighbor is sinning and do you love him, do you love him enough to tell him he’s sinning?"
Actually I love him enough to keep my nose out of his business. This apparently takes a lot more willpower than assuming I know better than him and trying to dictate his life.
General Jerry Boykin is boiling mad. Although, maybe he wouldn't be thought to be insane if he had compelling evidence of Bible God's existence. Perhaps he knows something but he's not telling. Of course, that would be typical of one them secretive religious types. Or maybe he's just high on gullibility.
So this Boykin nutter was a general in the US army? Oh dear.
"William G. "Jerry" Boykin was the United States Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence under President George W. Bush from 2002 to 2007"
Intelligence. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahaha. Stop it you're killing me.
Yeah and the Muslims can say the same thing to the Christians. They believe they are following their religion to the letter and by their religions laws they are not sinning.
This is why I have a problem with religions. It leaves us with groups of Self important jerks who think their divine book and it's god is better then other divine books and other gods. They talk about how love is to force people to think like them. Such a close minded belief that leads to death.
Jerry, do you wholeheartedly agree with Jesus when he says that it is a holy, righteous, beautiful thing for him to torture someone because they held the wrong theology? If so, do not insult my intelligence by speaking of love. What you desire is control, not love.
"tell them that what they’re doing is wrong, living with his girlfriend is a sin"
That's not a sin, it's stupid. And if stupid isn't allowed let's begin with supernatural claims which can't be tested by the methods of science.
Problem with that is, that would be a sin on you, because as a Christian, you're not supposed to judge others, lest you yourself be judged for your own sins. We all know you have them, even if you won't admit it.
“We’ve got to love the Muslims enough to stand up against the evil that we see them perpetrating in the name of Allah, but at the same time we’ve got to offer them the Gospel of Jesus Christ in one way or another,” he added.
Why not start with the supposed "Christians" shooting abortion doctors? They're closer to home. And don't say they're doing God's work ... the Muslim suicide bombers think God wants them to kill "sinners", too.
living with his girlfriend is a sin
When Joseph and Mary travelled to Bethlehem together, alone, without any chaperone, they were not married yet, only engaged. So were Joseph and Mary sinning, "shacked up" like they were in Bethlehem and then in Egypt?
"He said that Christians have to tell Muslims that they are “sinning” just as one would tell a son living with his girlfriend that he is not “okay with God”: "
HOW is living with someone a sin? What next, being roomates with a friend is a sin?
and How are muslims sinning? By being muslim?
He said that Christians have to tell Muslims that they are “sinning”
Oh yeah, that's sure to make the world a better place.
Hey, let's be fair here, I'm sure these guys' approach has been very successful on numerous occasions throughout history, like...um...uh...wait a minute...actually, scratch that, these guys are complete assheads.
If I disagree with my son's choices, I hopefully have the standing with him to kindly express my feelings, just as I would any other situation I might feel an adult family member is making a mistake. I will even also stand up for a parent's right to limit association with adult offspring, even if I disagree with their reason. I will stand up for similar expression within ones circle of friends, as well, within limits. "I don't like the idea of you moving in with your girlfriend, so we will not be financing your apartment" is OK.
However, I do not have the authority to tell people outside of my family and social network about their "mistakes" in most cases. "Excuse me, I am in line" is acceptable. "I see you are Muslim, I want you to know you are going to hell and need to accept Jesus" is not.
Confused?
