In many ways, Conservative style is the antithesis of the style adopted by Liberals.

The style of a conservative often includes these characteristics:

-A willingness to debate openly on all aspects of an issue or problem, without being tramelled by ideological preconceptions.

-Readiness to take responsibility for the consequences of ones words and deeds.

-Not using fluff or obfuscating but telling it as it is.

-Behaving with decency towards other people, and treating the opposite sex with respect.

Not necessarily true. There are rude jackasses in all political parties.

Is that why Bill O'Reilly screams and insults anyone who disagrees with him? Watch some Faux News sometime; all their talking-heads do is shout down any dissenters, no matter what they say.

Again, watch some Faux News. Anyone with a dissenting viewpoint is called a "traitor," "disloyal," "unpatriotic," etc. They never deal with the arguments of their opponents, they just insult everyone.

You mean like how the Republicans have been screaming on every media outlet since the day after the election, trying to blame Obama and/or the Democrats for the crash of the worldwide economy, or how they spent the entire Bush administration blaming everything he screwed up on Bill Clinton?

Case in point, one Kent Hovind, who is in prison and still denying that he is guilty of income tax evasion.

Because denying women access to education, healthcare and contraception, telling them they aren't as smart as men and teaching them to be submissive EVEN IF THEIR HUSBAND IS A COLOSSAL ABUSIVE ASSHOLE is respect.

Christopher Hitchens is sexist but still fits that description better than conservapedia contributors. Chris treats stupid men with contempt but intelligent women do get respect from him. In fact that's covered in your third point.

I agree wholeheartedly with the first sentence, then it very quickly goes downhill into deluded madness.

Have you people taken responsibility for the worldwide economic free-fall that your Golden Boy Dubbya caused during his term in office?
Have you taken responsibility for the death of Savita Halappanavar who was refused a life-saving operation in Conservative Ireland?

Telling it as it is, right? So, be frank then and say that the reason you are against abortions is that you don't believe women are equal to men, that women should be punished for sex and that they have no right to decide what happens to their bodies. But you can't, can you, because that would not be "behaving with decency towards other people, and treating the opposite sex with respect", right?
