My peak was the cotton ceiling, which breaks my heart all over again every time I read about it on here. It introduce me to the obvious: the regressive homophobia, gender roles and sexism in transgender ideology and how their followers unquestioning obedience and authoritarian tactics cannot create a society of equality and acceptance.

My biggest fear is the future that is being formed through this regressive and sexist ideology. The restrictions on discourse, toxic groupthink, lack of self awareness, non platforming, the echoed and rehearsed counter statements and encouragement of narcissism and virtue signaling to shame and control others don't seem like the behavior of those with a cohesive argument. The intimidation tactics (terf bats/doxxing), acceptance and encouragement of violence against your perceived enemies, the willful creation of a divided world to isolate and radicalize their followers, and the blaming of an oppressed class (in this case women) and not their true oppressor (cis men) all scream the behavior of a cult or a dictatorship and DEFINITELY NOT that of an altruistic movement for peace and equality.

I had a dream recently about one of those Summer camps for gay conversion therapy (which still exist!) that was struggling financially. In the dream it was bought by a transgender activist group to cure people of their "genital preferences." Maybe I am being paranoid.. I think it is an expression of my deep fear and heartbreak for our communities.

I am concerned for the rights and safety of both transgender people and women and only desire to live in a truly egalitarian world but somehow I am still afraid to post on here and might delete my account eventually. How has all of this changed so drastically in the last decade? Sorry for the run on sentences and platitudes and thank you to everyone who posts on and moderates this subreddit, it is nice to know there is hope.
