Some people do not claim to be any more then the animals and like the animals they too will be destoryed.

Except that we do. We may be animals, but we are sentient, sapient, conscious, rational, AUTONOMOUS animals. That does make us more than "mere" animals.
This brings us to the real question: who's "destorying" animals?
Let's not forget that if God wanted to "destory" the animals, he would've done so with Noah's Flood (assuming that's not an Urban Legend), but God chose to have one of each kind saved on the ark, so that should be evidence that God loves animals and won't destory them.
Not to mention the fact that very soon my mammaries will be used to feed an infant human. I'll do that using my mammary glands. That's what signifies us as mammals (the females produce milk) and last time I checked, mammals are animals.
http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/mammals/ is a kid's site, but it's a start for the fundies.
"Placental mammals: Placental mammals are mammals whose young are born at a relatively advanced stage (more advanced than the young of other mammals, the monotremes and marsupials). Before birth, the young are nourished through a placenta. The placenta is a specialized embryonic organ that is attached the mother's uterus and delivers oxygen and nutrients to the young. Most mammals are placental mammals, like cats, dogs, horses, and people. "
