Well, outlawing fornication and getting rid of marital rape laws would exist within a whole constellation of changes that would get us back to sanity: eliminate no-fault divorce; eliminate affirmative action (you sink or swim on your own merit); outlaw abortion, eliminate the alphabet soup of welfare programs; get women the hell out the military where all they do is cause problems. Oh and repeal the 19th amendment.

Am I missing anything?

Let me see if I've got this. According to Sunshine Mary, we can "fix" the country by...

...criminalizing all sex except that between married, heterosexual couples for the purpose of reproduction.

...granting husbands the legal right to rape their spouses if they choose to.

...forcing people to stay in marriages that neither party wishes to remain in which, when combined with the no-marital-rape thing means that women can be held in sexual bondage by their spouses.

...allowing legal racist and discriminatory hiring practices.

...forcing women to have children they can not support while at the same time...

...eliminating any all all forms of assistance for the poor or disadvantaged. You know, like all those new single mothers that were just created by the previous point.

...deny women the opportunity to serve in the military.

...and don't allow women to vote.

Honestly? Athe only thought that comes to my mind is "why the hell does Sunshine Mary hate women so much?"

So, you wish to jail people for fucking. Lovely. You thought your prisons were overcrowded NOW? Not to mention the spiralling costs to maintain these people incarcerated for deciding to go and do the nasty without having matching rings. And by the way...how do you propose enforcing this?

So...two consenting adults fucking = jailable offense, but deciding that no means just stick it in anyways with your wife = A-OK! The internal logic is BULLETPROOF! But then, I'm sure Sunshine is fair, and if the wife comes home with a bag of tricks and slides on a strap on, and decides to go for a ride, that's okay too, right?

A lovely idea...except that people of minorities dn't tend to have the same advantages as those who aren't. Not to mention, you make it sound like peolpe interview blind...they don't. I agree with the spirit, but there's a long way to go before it's realistic.

Oh? So...if your precious daughter is caught in some dark alley and raped, then finds out she's pregnant from such attack...you're fine telling her that the child should be carried to term, and that she'll just have to live with the reminder of the man who violated her? How about ectopic pregnancy? Gross deformities where a child will live maybe hours after birth? You realy think people just get abortions between shoe shopping sprees and cosmos with the girls, don't you?

And..what? Watch the homeless rate spiral out of control? Kids resort to a life of crime just to get by? Thefts go out of control as people deserate to survive resorting to whatever they can do to get by? You're aware that welfare is more than just lazy bums sucking at the government teat, right?

Oh and how about the women who are now forced to carry a child to term that they have no hope in caring for? Wait, I got this...first, she's a filthy harlot who should have kept her legs closed, and second, she is violating the fornication laws, which will lead to a child being born in prison then being sent off into foster care...wait, welfare systems are gone, so the child is, what, dumped on a church's steps? Do I need to point out that this is poorly thought out?

Ah yes, go back to the halcyon days where women knew their place and were told what to think by their men. Just because you find thinking for yuorself to be such a terrible burden (Assuming you're a girl and not a G.I.R.L.) doesn't mean the rest do.

You want men to be able to legally rape their wives (or the other way around of course, but let's face it, that's not what she means)? That is absolutely evil. Hopefully being raped would at least count as a "fault" that would allow the woman to get a divorce under your system, but I'm guessing not.

Also, eliminate welfare = you want to watch poor people starve and die? What does that even have to do with your plan to strip women of all rights? Same with fornication, actually, because women and men would be punished equally in those cases.

And if you don't believe in your own right to vote, why do you think you have the right to make these statements?

Azaqi, I'll respond point by point.

1. Sex is for bonding the husband and wife together and for their pleasure. Of course, reproduction is very important as well, and artificial birth control should never be used.

2. A husband cannot "rape" his wife. When you marry, you consent to having sex with your spouse. Saying "I do" means that you have consented. There is not even such a thing as marital rape. Sometimes if a wife is tired or ill, she may ask her husband to refrain. A loving husband does so.

3. I said "outlaw no fault divorce". I did not say all divorce should be outlawed. If neither party can site a reason why the marriage should end, then it shouldn't end. A woman should not marry a man if she does not intend to have sex with him for the rest of her life.

4. No, racist hiring practices are wrong. That is why I support outlawing affirmative action.

5. No one is forced to have children. Couples who do not wish to have children have Natural Family Planning available to them.

6. Families should take care of their own. If the family is destitute, they should seek private charity. Welfare is simply legalized theft. What right have I to take your money because I have made terrible choices? You may choose to give me money, but you should not have your money stolen from you by the government and redistributed to me. Nor should my money be redistributed to you.

7. The physical requirements for women are less than for men; how can you support this? It's discrimination against men, for one thing. It also makes our nation less safe since we are being "defended" by people who are not as physically capable. And men are demoralized by the presence of women in combat.

8. Women should not be allowed to vote. They make poor choices because they vote for men whom they find sexually attractive and who promise to steal other citizens' money in order to fund slutty women's poor life choices.

Oh hello there. I can honestly say that I didn't expect to see you here.

Now, I always try to be polite when dealing with people, but here, I'll just have to be as blunt as possible, because I fear that it is the only way that I will be able to express what I am feeling.

What you have proposed here is completely and utterly horrible, and should never be approved by the government.

Simply put, if you criminalize sex outside of marriage, then prisons will be filled to bursting. I'm not the biggest fan of sex myself, but I'm fully aware that making sex illegal is just flat-out ignorant and reckless.

Secondly, marital rape does exist, and it is sadly a common occurrence. Marriage is not a free pass for a man to have sex with his wife anytime or vice-versa. No means no. Marital rape is illegal for a reason, because it is wrong. And contrary to what you have stated, it does exist.

As for eliminating divorce, well that would just trap unhappy people in loveless marriages. Plus, if someone had a very legitimate reason for wanting a divorce, like, I don't know... being a victim of marital rape, then they wouldn't be able to get one, and they would be trapped in their endless hell until either they or their partner die.

Outlawing abortion... everyone else has already mentioned the whole problem with pregnancy by rape and poor people that can't afford children, but I'm pretty sure that you don't believe that rape exists, and you don't appear to be thinking very far ahead with the other part of the plan, as I will cover in the next paragraph.

Getting rid of welfare... well it's a good thing that all of those poor families have a bunch of kids that they can't support now because of your no-abortion law, isn't it? In all seriousness, though, sometimes families go through a rough financial patch and can't make ends meet. That's when welfare comes into play. It's a way to help families get back on their feet, not a way for people to be parasites on the government.

Also, you appear to hate women, as you don't want them in the military, you don't want them to vote, you don't want them to have control of their own bodies, and you don't care if they are raped by their spouses. I'm not a woman, but I am still horrified at how you could imagine such a hellish world for women and claim that that's how it should be.

Sorry for the long, vitriolic rant, but I really needed to get that off of my chest.

Do you really have to ask if you're missing anything? How about love and respect for women and humanity in general?

I looked at your blog and was horrified by what I read in the last several posts. There is nothing to indicate that you are a true Christian.

All I saw was sarcasm and judgment aimed at women who have made different choices than yourself or who have dared to let themselves become overweight.

Oh, and I'd love it if you could explain why your "Christian" blog, especially the comments section, is filled with kinky sexual references and innuendos about bsdm and oral sex as well as links to pick-up artist web sites. Most Christian women would moderate off-color comments out of respect for their husbands.

When you make the point that women shouldn't be allowed in the army I hate to inform you, seen as you obviously haven't done your research, as far as I'm aware, in America at least, where I'm guessing you want the measures imposed, women aren't allowed to serve on ground combat. Women today aren't the sheep that you perceive and there are many reasons why they are allowed in the army. Some of these are the fact that women favour negotiations in place of all out bloodshed. I personally, as a woman, would like to see women who consent to be placed on ground combat as they add moral judgement and a clear non-violent perspective. Israel is one of the few countries I know of that allows women on ground combat, as a result their female soldiers are some of the best soldiers (regardless of gender) in the world. I won't bother mentioning the other point brought up by Sunshine Mary as I feel they have been thoroughly covered already.
