Sex is not going to go away. PP helps women who don't want a child right now, and people who do want a child. Their aim is to have every child be born healthy, and every child be WANTED. The people who go to PP are considered to be WOMEN, not "customers". The largest number that go to PP get health care (mammograms, etc,) that they cannot afford to get elsewhere. Abortion is for a tiny fraction of them...and nobody aborts a "baby".

Before there were reliable contraceptives, new-born children were killed instead. They were sent to baby-farms (or "angel-makers" as they were called in Sweden), suffocated or drowned, or just left out in the woods to be eaten by wild animals.

The real original business plan, of providing healthcare for poor children and their mothers WHO DID NOT HAVE ABORTIONS, have not failed, but continues on, as long as they have funding enough. But, perhaps you'd rather pay the tens of thousands of dollars that a birth costs in the US, for all the poor mothers who can't afford it and are contemplating abortion due to that? (In Sweden, child-birth is covered by taxes. If you want extras, like staying another night in the hospital, or the dad getting a bed too, you might pay a few hundred dollars.)
