The reality is that the boy's manners and upbringing doesn't mean anything, because he is not a Muslim. So, you can basically overlook his "goodness" because his disbelief far outweighs any goodness that he has.

He is not a "boy". He is an adult man. Your daughter is not a "girl". She is an adult woman. You've raised her to be self-sufficient and responsible. At some time you have got to stop playing "mommy" and recognize that she will make her own decisions and go forward with her own life, with you OR WITHOUT YOU. Do you want to have a daughter? Do you want to have grandchildren to love and cherish? That's up to you now.

The fact that she has hidden this relationship from you for five years is indicative of the fear that she has of your knee-jerk reaction, and apparently she was right in keeping it secret. "Fear" is the right word: fear of disapproval, fear that makes a person weigh every action and every word, not to answer "Is it right? Is it good?" but rather "Will my parents and my community approve?". That kind of fear is crippling, and can never produce a thinking adult. Good luck to her in breaking free.

To any Christian who reads this, you don't get a pass either, if you're so eager to twist young minds that you spoon-feed religion into the ears of a child who is too young to offer a reasoned critique of the stories. And I'm burning off a little of my anger by reading over my words, and imagining a child being spoon-fed in the ears....

You seem to think blacks or arabs are somehow all bad (not even going into the fact that one Pepe incarnation around here is Turkish and would be categorised as arab by any Frenchman.).

The problem here is not reproduction, they are still a minority and will be for quite some time to come. The problem is cultural pressure and the fact that those populations are concentrated in the same areas and create pockets of a particular culture without any desire to integrate.
And the worst thing is that the ones rejecting French culture the most violently are from the second generation of immigrants. It is not a problem of being black or "grey" (as is said in the South of France), it is a matter of failing to unite those people under our culture and them finding an ideal fantasy within the culture of their parents. Therein lies the problem.
One of the most violent kid I knew when I was working as a teacher was of Polish descent. Neither black nor arab. Not everything is determined by birth or skin colour.

Meanwhile, we should not screw everything up for the ones actually struggling to make an honest and hard-working living. My mother-in-law came from Africa as a child, worked all her life, raised her children and they all have pretty good positions. The thing is, France was the country where she lived and she adopted most of its culture. She still spends time in Africa, now that she is retired, she still cooks African dishes and can still speak some African dialects (like I can speak Southern French patois). But she is for all intents and purposes French and her presence does not endager France or its culture.

For the hard of thinking out there, Khan is the Mayor of London. Overwhelmingly voted for by Londoners. He is of the Labour party.

Sadiq Khan is a Muslim, incidentally.

Last week, there was an incident down Spring Bank here in Hull: outside the Iceland frozen food store, a woman had her handbag stolen.

PROTIP: Spring Bank is the street with so many Muslim-owned businesses; yet, there are two churches down there. So many of said Muslim-owned businesses - convenience stores - sell alcohol. Two of the several pubs there have rainbow flags in their windows, denoting they are LGBT friendly.

The perpetrator of that robbery last week was white.

Strange how there's been no reports of any crimes there: by Muslims...!
