This matter of choice. Ah, yes, choice is the word the abortionists prefer because it sounds so mild. But when the choice is to murder or not murder, that doesn't sound so mild. The point at which the choice should have been made is 1)whether to have sex and 2) whether to have unprotected sex. To murder the creation as an inconvenience is .....murder. And it's so ironic that pro-abortionists are also against the death penalty. There's some consistent principles for you. Murder the innocent but do not execute the guilty. As for whether the man should have anything to say about it, if you were having sex with your mate inside of a loving marriage, both of you would decide when to have a child, and yes the man would have a say. To pretend that only women should have a choice about a human life that they could not conceive on their own is just....pretend.

The problem being that after 8 years of abstinence only education, kids don't know how to have safe sex, and even if they do, in small towns if you buy a pack of condoms some asshole cashier phones your parents.

I've never heard of anyone having an abortion because it was convenient. Because they didn't think they'd make a good mother, because the father vanished into thin air, and a lot of other reasons, but never because meh, I didn't want the bother.

You can put an innocent man to death and can't reverse that. It's pretty much impossible to abort the wrong foetus. Anyway, my hatred of the death penalty has to do with the spectacle that the fans turn it into. It reminds me of the death penalty in the handmaids tale.

The magical gold rings don't work that way. Anyway, once your married it's pretty tough for the guy to run to the hills if she accidentally gets pregnant. BTW is it okay for a married couple to have an abortion? Because you seem to be implying that

Well he has an opinion, but he could no more force her to have the kid than he could drag her kicking and screaming down to the abortion clinic to get rid of it.

So no matter how much of an asshole the guy is, the woman should submit to his will? The law says different. Even a married woman can go into a clinic and receive an abortion without her husbands permission. The golden ring isn't a slave contract

Just because you use the word murder to describe abortion doesn't make it accurate. The word isn't used by thinking, educated people to refer to abortion because it isn't even close to accurate; one can not "murder" a clump of cells.

And men don't get a "say" in whether or not a woman (married or not) gets an abortion because they aren't the ones who would have to risk their lives and health to carry the fetus in their bodies and give birth to it. Just because you spend a couple of seconds squirting some sperm into a woman's body doesn't mean you get to force her to keep it there, incubate it, and support the resulting child for the next 18 years.

"Both of you would decide when to have a child" -- THIS is our point, you fucker. The woman and man have to AGREE. The man may get a SAY, but so does the woman, and the man only gets a say insofar as the woman gives a shit what he thinks.

See, the thing you Christians don't seem to get is that abortion isn't meant to be a replacement for making responsible choices, it's meant to be a lifeline for when you did everything right and something still went wrong, or a second chance so someone can go back and try to make that responsible choice. You can harp on them all you want about the dangers of unprotected sex, but once the egg's fertilized, yelling at them solves nothing.

The choice that should have been made is 1)to not have sex and 2)to not have sex (if you follow the fundy logic). To terminate a blob of cells that could be a life is not murder...PERIOD! And it's so ironic that fundies support the death penalty for non-fundies. There's some consistent principles for you. Murder the thinking but do not execute the fanatical sheep. And what is it that an arned forces does when threatened?
