If we depend solely on God, do his will, obey him and follow what he teaches us to become righteous, did you know that he would cure any stages of aids for you, cancer or any other deadly diseases you may have that doctors simply can not cure?

At least two people have been cured of HIV via Gene Therapy.
I guess when it comes to FAIL... er, I mean 'Faith', in Soviet Medical Establishment God is cured of you .
That old Biblical favourite Leprosy is easily treatable. And as for Smallpox, well... if medical science has literal power over life & death over something even your 'God' created: I guess he now increasingly depends on us .
What does God need with 'Belie f'...?! [/Capt. James T. Kirk]

Ok, then why doesn't he just do it instead of dangling it around in front of our noses waiting for us to kiss his divine ass beforehand? Geeze, what an asshole. If he was a human, everybody would hate him.
David J. Stewart would disagree, as he hasn't been cured, yet claims he's the only True Christian. Or maybe his problems aren't deadly enough for God to bother with.
This is just another win/win for claims of God. If you're cured, God did it. If you're not cured, you weren't faithful enough or didn't follow the rules strictly enough. Checkmate's right, though. If God can do it, but will only do it if you kiss his ass, he's a jerk.
Talk is cheap. God shouldn't just be offering to cure those diseases, he should be DOING it. And I'm not just going to take your word for it. I want sources that can be checked and that medical professionals can examine so we know you're not just a fraudster like all the other "faith healers." Any claim that is made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
Even the Bible doesn't claim that your deity would do any verifiable thing for certain. The only thing the Bible promises is that Jesus will resurrect you after you die, and no, nobody will be able to confirm that Mr. Skeptic Pants.
That's funny, when I was a kid in church, I had to sit through sermons about how AIDS was God's punishment on the "wicked". Then we were often told to pray for one of the faithful, who had cancer, but they usually shuffled off this mortal coil, within a few years. So is your God the Great Healer, or the Great Smiter?
Forget depending on him, I prefer to stake my life and health on medical science.
As His teachings are contradictory, you can't just do His will or just follow what He teaches, as you will break some rules while following others.
The doctors might not be able to cure those things YET, but they are still trying. Depending solely on God is to give up, you'll never learn anything new, and you will probably die of the disease, while other godly people tell you that you are not faithful ENOUGH.
Actually, the OP is right. Take the common cold. There's no known cure. Doctors simply cannot cure it.
So, a friend of mine had a cold a few weeks ago. Besides getting a lot a sleep and drinking fluids, she prayed to God to be healed. She prayed on seven days straight. And guess what? It worked! After about seven days the cold was gone! A MIRACLE! Praise the Lord!
Well, she did still have a cough, but I guess that was some kind of penance. Who knows? God does work in mysterious ways, doesn't he?
Tell you what, OP. Once a sole prayer (and nothing else) can actually cure a rather nasty case of death, I might consider you have a point. But as long as it cannot even heal a papercut, consider me sceptical.
And I do mean certain death. Like being decapitated, or blown up, or reduced to a skeleton. You know, the kind of death nobody can cure yet.
Admittedly, I'm okay with the deranged bible majini praying for a cure rather than taking their meds. People that stupid are useless & serve no purpose to the rest of humanity. They're actually doing us a favor, once you get past all the emotional drama.
Confused?
