Shirono "Ah yes, and you know that the Bible gives you that right because the Bible says it does. How very....circular."
That is not a genuine circular argument.
It is a presuppositional argument.
Ultimately all things boil down to begging the question.
Why is logic true? Because it is.

Allow me to explain something:
1. if the reasoning for claim a is claim b, and the reason for claim b is claim a, you are in a circular argument.
2. logic is not inherently true. for example, i witness the sun and moon rotating around the earth. therefore, the earth must be stationary and the universe pivots around it. This is a logical thought. However, it is patently false
Why is "logic" true? Uhh... because if the premises are true the conclusion must be undeniably true. Hence, a logical argument.
See, that's logic. A book made by ignorant fuckers, however, is not.
Well then in that case this sticky note says you are wrong.
I know you are wrong because this sticky note said so.
Oh, a stalemate. See, stalemates are an indicator that you're not following the proper rules of logic.
Sorry, but I'm with Atlantians on this one. The idea that a proposition implies itself is the basis of logic. If that weren't true, everything would fall apart. That's why circular logic isn't technically invalid.
Though it may be unsound - that's a different matter. And whaddaya know? In this case, it is! And even if it weren't, just because it's valid doesn't mean you can draw any conclusions from it.
Oh, and presuppositional logic is circular logic, you idiot.
Oh, well. Looks like I'm not as with Atlantians as I thought.
He does have a point about logic, though. There are forms of reasoning outside of logic, whether it be formal or informal. And yes, other forms may not quite be completely sound, the prominent formal logic systems we use today weren't until less than 100 years ago. And we're not even certain they're fully sound, just pretty sure.
