There are no contradictions, and thus far nothing has been provided to show otherwise. Just a few ramblings by atheists attempting to disprove a God they claim they don't believe in. Emphasis on claim because EVERYONE believes in God, atheists just choose to rebel and pretend he doesn't exist. This silly behavior would be akin to a child saying "I dont have any parents". Anyways..

"There are no contradictions, and thus far nothing has been provided to show otherwise. If this is on the Bible, I suggest a search on "Biblical Contradictions".
[...] EVERYONE believes in God, atheists just choose to rebel and pretend he doesn't exist. Unsupported assertion.
This silly behavior would be akin to a child saying "I dont have any parents". First of all, many kids actually do not have parents.
Second of all, parents can be observed, unlike God.
It doesn't work that way, retard. I can see, hear, and touch my parents. I have evidence that they exist.
Your god fails on all of the above counts. I do not have any evidence he exists.
Nothing silly about it.
An orphan child no longer has parents, and would thus be valid in saying he has none. He HAD some but he has none now.
People who claim EVERYONE believes in (their) god have some serious delusions of grandeur going.
No one believes in ANY god until they either make one up (usually they're not the one to believe in it unless they fall for their own lies after years of repeating'em), or until they get coerced into believing in one, usually through years of threats involving death and violence brought onto them if they refuse to conform, by everything from their parents to playground friends who're also getting brainwashed.
Drilling such horrible fairytales and permanent fear into an innocent child has gotta be right up there with the physical types of abuse...
IF you're going to go that route, then I'd suggest that, instead, people who believe in God are like kids who still believe in Santa Clause. You can at least prove that your parents exist(ed), but you can't do the same for God or St. Nick.
pffft, if i had a nickel for every 16 year old who claimed he could 'prove' this and 'expose' that, i'd be richer than bill gates. they all think they're going to be smarter than anybody else who has ever lived, and then they grow up and realize that they are not so smart. if there were such contradictions, then better and smarter people would have already exposed them. it's all about teen ego, and it's a very old story.
the contradictions have been exposed. A lot. Go here
"There are no contradictions, and thus far nothing has been provided to show otherwise."
I'd say take a look at Skeptic's Annotated Bible. Although I don't think that ALL of those weren't translation errors, even if 200 of them were, which is unlikely, that's over 100 contradictions in your holy text. Not exactly a good impression.
"Just a few ramblings by atheists attempting to disprove a God they claim they don't believe in."
When atheists don't try and refute Christianity it's because "They can't deny the truth." when they do, it's "Ramblings". Don't any of the Christians consider this a tiny bit unfair.
"Emphasis on claim because EVERYONE believes in God, atheists just choose to rebel and pretend he doesn't exist."
No, I'm pretty sure I know that God doesn't exist. Yet again the Bible is proven wrong. I'm not "rebelling" against God, and I don't understand why I would.
"This silly behavior would be akin to a child saying "I dont have any parents".
Anyways.."
Yeah, because EVERYBODY knows that parents don't see their kids or talk to them in thousands of years. A PERFECT comparison T&T!
You fail, but no surprise there.
You cannot compare the tangible with the intangible and expect to be taken seriously. A more apt comparison is a kid saying, "I don't believe in the easter bunny."
Re-read, or just plain READ the definition of 'atheist'; you just might be surprised.
There are no contradictions, and thus far nothing has been provided to show otherwise. Just a few ramblings by fundies attempting to disprove the reality they claim they don't believe in. Emphasis on claim because EVERYONE believes in reality, fundies just use science to make their lives easier then pretend they reject it. This silly behavior would be akin to a child saying "I dont have any parents". Anyways..
Fixed.
I'm so glad fundies keep telling what I believe in, cause I never seem to remember.
Seriously, can you read minds? Have you got any kind of empirical evidence that shows that everybody believes in God?
T&T is responsible for the post of the year 2006, I think, where he says that everyone is born christian. So, from his belief, I guess this is logical conclusion. But since his premise is wrong, wrong, wrong, this looks even more stupid.
CousinTed:
You know, I find it interesting that Paul was educated as a Pharisee and yet apparently made elementary mistakes in interpretation that no proper Jew would ever make (or so it seems to this ex-Catholic boy).
As for the SAB, I don't know about that... it's helpful, certainly, but I seem to recall reading a lot of annotations that seemed juvenile or overly picky. To some extent I can understand the pickiness -- when dealing with literalists, it's good to have a way to pick them apart based on their readings of the text rather than what the text actually says (as they don't really care about context anyway). But I've heard a few complaints that the SAB is actually rather amateurish compared with more scholarly work. More scuttlebutt than anything else, mind you...
"I reject your reality and substitute my own!"
-- In this reality, the Bible is logical. I didn't think such a thing was possible.
Okay...you rent a nice big room. I, and 10 of my friends will bring our parents. You bring God. Nice and simple.
Oh, and you don't realize the arrogance in telling someone what they believe, do you?
More lousy analogy fail. The fact that we must all at some time have had a father and mother - whether we ever knew them or not - does absolutely nothing to prove the existence of God. One is simple biology, the other is simple mythology.
Whether God created us and our reproductive system or not, the fact that how we get here is not in the slightest bit mysterious or mythical to anybody other than a young child.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
