This heralds a new chapter for paedophilia in which it will enter mainstream society in phases. It is already happening as paedophile is redefined as ‘prepubescent’ (a child generally age 11 years or younger). The older child ceases to be a victim of this predator for which a new word has been invented. Hebephilia is defined as individuals with a primary or exclusive sexual interest in 11-14 year old pubescents. Now consider the type who would construct this type of perversion.The UK's first Atheist advertising campaign is launched with ads on 800 buses featuring a humanist slogan.

Richard Dawkins is not being perverted here. This is one of those times when I agree with him. There ARE different levels of pedophilia and molestation and rapes. Some of these victims suffer little to no harm.

If Josh Duggar had raped his victims, ACTUAL rape, his parents would have handled things differently. The statute of limitations would have been longer. Josh would probably have been locked up. Which would probably be the appropriate punishment! But there was no ACTUAL rape!

Victim Jessa Duggar: And he made some bad choices but really the extent of it was mild inappropriate touching on fully clothed victims. Most of it while girls were sleeping.

MILD inappropriate touching huh? Not too different from MILD pedophilia which caused Richard Dawkins and his classmates little to no harm? Keep in mind Richard and his classmates were probably awake at the time of the touching!

@Elie: I wouldn't say he was "quotemined to death", but it was twisted a bit. He discussed a molestation in his own childhood and suggested that its influence on his mental well-being and growth was minimal. His response to accusations such as OP is that child sexual abuse is a very serious problem, but that there are degrees of severity in it as in all crimes, his case happened to be of a less harmful variety in the context where it occurred and he would actually be belittling the suffering of those who had more harm done to them if he exaggerated the pain he experienced. In this case, I would agree with Dawkins that you have to read it in bad faith to think that he condones or belittles sex abuse.

Savile had created such a complex web of contacts - including high-level paedophiles - that it was said that the only reason his depravity & crimes was kept beyond D-Notice secret, was because he had info on so many high-ups in the establishment that if anyone dared expose him, the fact that the material he could've released to the world's press could have destroyed the government of the day, never mind Parliament as a whole, was the least of anyone's problems: he could've brought down the Establishment as a whole.

Thus it was utterly impossible for Thatcher (*spit*) to have not known about him & his crimes. How many children/patients did she allow in 11 years to be assaulted by him, just for the sake of a country?

This was way after the time she was first elected in 1979, thus she became the basis of my more than infinite hatred of everything - and everyone - right-wing. That first link I discovered several years ago.

That hatred I now know to be more-than justified. And you keep reinforcing that justification every second you're not baying for Josh Buggar's blood, KDC4G. A 5 year old who gets fondled without force doesn't even think much of it. To the 5 year old it's like an annoyance at worst. Like what happened to Dawkins and his classmates. Or to that 5 year old girl Josh Duggar fondled.

I was using Josh Duggar as an example of how there are different levels of pedophilia. If Josh had done ACTUAL rape on those girls, things would have been different.

Here's another example. Snoogins was raped by a minor 12 years older than her. Was she the victim of ACTUAL rape? Or did he just touch her vagina WITH her permission? If it's the former, if Snoogins and her parents wanted the boy to go to prison, he probably should have gone to prison, and I pray Snoogins has or will get over her rape. If it's the latter, no wonder the boy was never taken to the police.

See? Different levels of pedophilia, rape and molestation. Dawkins was right this time and he shouldn't be critisized for saying that.

Fellow paedo? I'm not a paedo. And actually, neither is Josh. The minimum age for a pedophile is SIXTEEN.

And I'm not justifying what Josh did anymore than Eric Hovind is. Josh sinned against those girls. But by so, so far the worst part is, he sinned against God! One day Josh will have to answer to God! That's a scary thought, having to answer to God for your sins!

You know who else will have to answer to God? People who have lots of premarital sex.

Gary Glitter's parents - after his PC World expose - changed their names by deed poll & moved to a completely different part of the country to avoid any press attention, such was the way they washed their hands of & ostracised their now not-son, that they wanted nothing to do with him.
