Freud is occasionally valid. Asserting that men rape because they are men is classic penis envy. Those women only wish they could rape good looking boys because they are probably too ugly or their personalities are too vile to be able to seduce even a kid. But they can't because they either know they are too weak or afraid they might be.

Women rape, but usually only children and other women.
Men are by far the most common rapists.
Though men who get raped by women are probably the victims who suffer most, because they tend to either be mocked for being used by a girl, or it is considered that they should have enjoyed it. A lot of blaming the victim, even more so than happens even for most rapes.
EDIT: Actually, I think in some places, 'rape' is specific to vaginal penetration by the penis, so women don't really 'rape'. But you get the point.
Freud is OCCASIONALLY valid. Not every man wants to sleep with his mother, and not every dream about trains is linked to some subconcious sexual trauma/desire.
One of the many times Freud is invalid is the entire theory of penis envy. If a woman does suffer from penis envy, well, thanks to modern medicine, she can get a penis. In most cases, what Freudian thought would assert is penis envy, would in fact be a desire for gender equality.

Oh dear lord. It should be illegal to be this ignorant. Listen bud, people rape - yes, not just men, though they are the predominant perpetrators for reasons I don't need to explain to FSTDT commentators - for a variety of reasons, sometimes for none at all, and not all I can list here. Some scenarios are: the rapist gets off on hurting others, wants to assume power over the victim, they feel entitled, violent, important, dominant, manipulative and/or just plain cruel. Rape isn't a crime committed by a certain type of wacko, all sorts do it, even people who normally lead respectable lives by our society's standards. Fat, thin, young, old, ugly, pretty, able, disabled. It doesn't matter. There are no boundaries. To attribute hatred of rape to some abstract concept of "penis envy" is ludicrous in the extreme and you need to get a clue.
Men rape because we have a Sex Drive and an Agressive bio-chemistry. Both are increased by testosterone.
Women rape, it's much rarer.
Men don't rape because they're men. Most men don't rape. People (men and women alike) rape because they're sick and usually have a vendetta of some sort against the opposite sex. It's not a crime of passion, but of anger. Oh, and learn the real definition of penis envy. It's not women wishing they had a penis. It's the discomfort a girl feels upon realizing males have penises and females don't.

Anyway, Freud's penis envy had nothing to do with rape. More likely had to do with women being oppressed and wishing they could be as free as men.
First of all, women don't have penis envy. Women complain about rape because they don't like it. Men who get raped don't like it either. Some men are rapists, some women are rapists. The overwhelming majority of rape cases are men raping women however, which is why it is seen as a feminist issue.
Second, rape isn't about sexual attraction it's about power. Wanting to have sex with someone is not the same as wanting to rape them. Maybe it is for you, but most people like sex with conscious, adult, willing partners.
Third, obviously you don't know Freud from a fart. It is clearly an example of agression drive influenced by a superego conflict.
1) PLEASE never use Freud like that ever again. Penis envy only exist in locker rooms and Porn. Most Woman are perfectly happy having a clitoris and the other parts as well.

Boys are raped by women, ya know. But either the boys don't know that men can be raped, and don't realize that they were raped, or they are even more reluctant to report it than most raped women are.
Rapes are not done by ugly people, but by people who get off on power instead of sex.
We do not have penis envy, we like not having the sex parts dangling around looking silly most of the time. We do have privilege envy, though.
