People who blame God for their evil deeds have lowered themselves to the level of the atheists.
Although George W. Bush is most likely an atheist himself...

Ummm... interesting, is the best I can say to this.
First sentence is fundie, the second is just... well, it qualifies as one of the "darndest" things I've seen a fundie say.
People who blame God for their evil deeds are just plain nuts. But as for "lowered to the level of the atheists" -- seriously, just BEING an atheist is worse than committing evil deeds, and as bad as doing so and blaming God for them? That's a pretty harsh thing to say about people who, on the whole, seem to be a lot more moral than most people of faith -- and without any effective threat of eternal torture to force them to be that way.
And sorry, fundies -- Bush is definitely one of your own, whether you want to claim him or not!

It's not a step down from Fundie to atheist.
GWB is an asshole and a dope, but, as much as you may wish to divorce yourself from him, he is a Xian. Even mean-spirited, stupid Xians are still Xians.
Well, some people claim GWB is a monkey, too, so I guess they're even ashamed to be of the same species as him.
Though, it's been my observation that a scant few people in the world actually base their actions and opinions around their religious teachings. Rather, they come up with their lifestyle on their own and fall back on religion to justify it when no other logical justification exists.
"People who blame God for their evil deeds have lowered themselves..."
With you thus far.
"...to the level of the atheists."
Oops! And you were doing so well, too. Hard to make a whole sentence that isn't absurd, isn't it?
<<< Although George W. Bush is most likely an atheist himself >>>
Of course. I mean, a guy who keeps promoting faith-based initiatives and consistently invokes God as a means of explaining his position on certain issues (stem-cell research and abortion) ... could he have made it any more obvious?
*sarcasm meter asplodes*
Shit, I thought I turned that off before I started typing.
Holy crap - that's one teeny step short of "All people that vote Republican are atheists."
Right, so the holy thing to do is commit evil then ask for your imaginary friend to forgive you huh?
Do you know how many times God commanded people to commit evil in the Old Testament?
Do you know how many people were convinced God told them to do the evil things they did?

"Where is the evidence that Bush "bases policy decisions on the Bible?" Mentioning the name of the sick twisted warmongering Jewish "god" he worships does not make him or anyone a Christian by any stretch of the imagination..."
Say, this wouldn't by any chance be the same "sick twisted warmongering Jewish 'god'" that Jesus prayed to and claimed was his father, would it?
~David D.G.

No, you got the wrong deity. Jesus Christ was the greatest opponent of the evil Jewish "god."

I knew you were 'off' from the original post, but now you are re-writing your own bible.
Does the term 'Faith -based Initiatives' ring any bells? Also, this ?:

...oh, and of course not forgetting this from the daddy of this little war criminal:

"I don't know that atheists should be regarded as citizens, nor should they be regarded as patriotic. This is one nation under God."
-George HW Bush
Yeah. They're Atheists , aren't they?! [/Doug Piranha-levels of sarcasm]
Now go and defence your fiddy somewhere else, DF: In the middle of a motorway/freeway at rush hour, and see how 'Good' your God is at preventing you from being splattered under a truck. People who demonstrate that they don't have much faith in their 'Faith' by not doing so are in fact more Atheistic than we Atheists are. [/1 Thessalonians 5:21]
...unless you'd like to prove us wrong ; and don't forget that blindfold too, as you try to cross to safety with your 'God' guiding you. >:D

- A Marcionite fundamentalist?!? Dang, we haven't seen one of those in a long time, about 1,600 years if I'm not mistaken.
Then again, DF could just be a troll.
Confused?
