If atheists are real, why are they still trying to convince themselves that they're right and getting personal with Christians when they ask questions? Is being an atheist the trendy thing to now for angry people?

If we weren't real, you wouldn't be so concerned with us living amongst your kind, would you? You are terrified that we speak the truth. You have doubts about your invisible friend in the sky, and it's existance. Admit it.
So because some atheists are retarded, none of us are real?
If I apply that logic to Christianity, you are definitely in the mythical category as well.
If atheists are real
What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Wait, let me guess, you are trying to tell me that I really belive in your "god", and I just deny it because I hate him, right?

I'm not, I am convinced that your "god" does not exist.
getting personal with Christians when they ask questions?
Because I'm very interested in the ways in which people delude themselves it to thinking that they alone are the most special beings in the universe.

You assume that all atheists are angry people, you are wrong. Just because someone doesn't believe what you tell them too doesn't make that person an "angry" person, In fact you come off as the "angry" one, you seem to be angry at people who won't believe what you tell them they have too believe.
Not really trying to convince myself of anything. I don't believe that gods are real.
Unlike religious fundies, I'm actually open to evidence that would change my mind.

I have noticed a trend of Fundies labeling Atheists as angry, unhappy people. This despite many of their leaders being foaming at the mouth barking mad fearmongerlers.
Sheer projection.
I'm not trying to convince myself I'm right, there's just not one reason to think you lot are, not one.
So have some sympathy for us poor reality dwellers and our struggles with the mass of bullshit we have to hear from you and your leaders.
I've noticed how worked up you lot are about the Flying Spaggetti Monster, struck a little close to home with that one, didn't we?
Well, let's see:
- Some Christians are trying to eliminate my children's science education and replace it with mythology.
- Some Christians are trying to deny the rights of my gay friends to engage in the legal contract of marriage because they think their god disapproves.
- Some Christians would deny abortions to women because they believe all life is sacred. These same Christians always seem to be enthusiastic supporters of military build-up, capital punishment and denying health care to people in need.
- Some Christians insist that I cannot be a good citizen because I do not attend the same church they do.
- Some Christians are furiously trying to re-write the history books to portray the Founding Fathers as fundamentalists, despite the fact that fundamentalism didn't even exist until the early 20th century.
- Some Christians denigrate anyone who thinks clean water and air are important, because they believe that Jesus endorsed unrestrained capitalism. And besides, we're going to be raptured "soon," so why bother preserving the planet?
Yeah, I guess I am a little peeved about all of that. I think I have a right to be.
It's called Christian indoctrination. I'm still dealing with the remaining doubts that the Catholic education system tried so hard to make the focus of my life.
You could really bother to learn something about the people you are trying to demean.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
