No. America was founded to protect a population that happened to be largely Christian from the British infringing upon an otherwise autonomous collection of provinces (err...colonies/states). It was founded as a secular government, that wanted religion and government to not exert undue influence on one another (primarily to avoid of "Church of England" type institution), and made it so that there would be no religious requirements for government office. You are a bald-faced liar if you try to claim that they wanted to protect us from non-Christian religions if they set the government up in such a fashion.

I am afraid that you lose, Tricey. Give up the jingoism...it fell out of style at least 30 years ago.

You did very little in WWI, thanks to turning up for the last year of it, when Germany was on it's last legs anyway. (Talk about sweeping in to grab the credit at the end...)

As apYrs says, you fucked us over with Lend-Lease... and the payments for that are STILL being paid! Oh yes, you helped us so much that we ended up being almost fucking bankrupt as a nation in the 50's... it certainly didn't help us in the 60's, 70's and so on.
The fact the payments are still being made means part of your country's "superpower" status is resting on the fighting WE did while you lot were keeping your back tpo the world!

But all is not doom and gloom... the payments cease in 2010, so you're suddenly going to find yourself with a lot less money to play with. You think the financial situation in the US is looking grim now? Just wait till we've paid the debt and you have to do without our money...

Oh, and before I forget... we didn't help you in your "non-war" in Vietnam, and what happened to you? You got your fucking arses kicked! *snicker*

Since then, you've taken on countries that even Sweden could beat easily... so don't think you're this super powerful country.

It was the RUSSIANS that won WWII, not the USA.
The USA came into BOTH world wars close to thier termination and claimed full credit for the sacrifices of others.
Thier losses were astronomical, due mainly to the crass stupidity of our trigger-happy morons, who, when deprived of ammunition, were the biggest cowards in the field.
We can keep your fucking mickey-mouse nation because bigots like you seem to be destroying it yourselves.
The world can function perfectly by having 4.5% of the most arrogant, self-centered bastards on earth out of the picture.
You should be ashamed to call yourself a true American, and I seriously doubt your military expertise beyond the X-Box.

I'm not British, but as it happens, in both world wars America took no action until both were well advanced. In the case of WW I it was the sinking of Lusitania in 1917 that provoked America's entry, combined with the fact that there was every liklihood of a German victory (and empire in Europe) if Britain didn't receive help.

In WW II Britain was already at war for two years before the Americans were again cajoled into taking part by the attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbour. The then President was willing enough, but American public opinion was insistent that Britain fight alone. Only the Channel kept the Nazis out of Britain in those dark days.

And as it is the victors who write the history, it must be clear that Germany and Japan were the Baddies, both of whom were into woodoomoomoo...Shinto in the case of the Japanese, and Nordic Mysticism in the case of the Nazis. In fact America almost left it too late. Hitler was on the verge of bombing New York City, and he was weeks short of nuclear capability. That would have finished the war with a flourish - and with London and New York as glowing cinders.

So shut your ignorant face Tricey and get ready for the concentration camp. Guantanamo is already in use.

You Americans do realize you are the decendants of immigrants from England and other European countries, don't you? It really seems you don't understand that. Most your population has come from immigration after you were established as the United States of America.

And some of you were kicked out of Europe for your witch-hunting bullshit, then you tried it in the new world and got your sick religious asses handed to you again. But most immigrants came for a reason you see over and over in movies and in history books yet you never know this once the church indoctrination is set.

LAND OWNERSHIP. Religious freedoms have very little to do with why North and South America were settled by people from all over. Crack a history book people, fuck this religious freedom shit, it makes up less than 10% of immigration and most that 10% were sick fucks who needed to be sent away.

I can only think you mean voodoo, here. If so, that religion was created by slaves that were brought over and taught chrsitainity. You didn’t NEED protection from voodun practitioners until after you made them. Read a book some time.

And i guess you think the Pilgrims founded this country? No. They just wanted a place to practice their religion without having to put up with the state religion of England. Read another book.

Oh, yeah. Communism. Um, you should read the New Testament. Jesus and his disciples had a communist set-up. They pooled all their resources and shared all their property, food, etc. And Jesus really hated wealth. And not feeding, paying, sheltering the poor and immigrants.
