Let's see...if I change just one word...
Christianity is a system of control / rules. Socialism masquerading as a religion. It is an attempt to enslave the human spirit by stamping out every last ounce of freedom in favor of laws and legalism.
"Islam is a system of control / rules."
Every single interaction with other human beings involves rules and a system of control. The only way to escape this is renounce everyone you know and every man-made object you own that you did not create by yourself and to go live in an isolated cave. I think I prefer the rules and system of control in my life.
"Socialism masquerading as a religion."
Way to take a concept you know practically nothing about and use it as a club to bash something else you know absolutely nothing about. Now that I think about it, maybe you are better suited to living in a cave all by yourself.
Not every system of autocracy is socialism. And socialism can be libertarian.
OP crams so many lies into so few words that I couldn't believe that his handle was "taxcontrol" judging solely on the evidence from his own postbit.

I don't know about you man, but Jesus was way more of a socialist-type than Mohammed ever was, and so were his early followers.
Ok, I'm not a socialist. I dislike socialism. But at least I know what socialism actually is, rather than just imagining it to be some Dr. Evil like conglomeration of every cartoonish thing I hate.
Socialism, an economic system in which the state controls the means of production, is aimed at promoting equality, particularly in societies in which there is a massive gap between a wealthy and powerful 1% and the workers who live in near poverty. Again, acknowledging this doesn't mean you approve of socialism, as there are many legitimate, proven concerns about whether it can even work successfully.
I don't know what taxcontrol's religion is, though given the source of the quote, I only need one guess. Christian theology imposes numerous rules, especially rules against thoughts and compulsory instincts, so that it can damn every person and then pretend to save them.

"Perhaps the same could be said of all religions."

There's not much in the Koran about class or the means of production. And if you want socialism as a religion, look at the socialist churches of the late 19th and early 20th century, the Christian Socialist movement, Liberation Theology etc.
Cristianity is a system of control / rules. Naziism masquerading as a religion. It is an attempt to enslave the human spirit by stamping out every last ounce of freedom in favor of laws and legalism.
Islam is a personal relationship with Allah.
Socialism masquerading as a religion.
You keep on using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
@checkmate
C. S. Lewis and Tolkien wrote occult books? Oh, that's rich.
So, you agree that Religion enslaves the human sprit by stamping out every last ounce of freedom in favor of laws and legalism (or rules and dogma)?
If Socialim is masquerading and attempting to be a religion, that must be what Christianity and the other religions are, for real.
I'd say that socialism is attempting to get everyone a fairly decent life, by helping each other out, instead of just thinking of oneself. Kinda like what Jesus (supposedly) said...
Confused?
