We were much better off when it was legal to burn pagans at the stake.
I wonder how you would feel if "pagans" did that to you. I suspect that the victims of the Inquisition, Salem Witch Trials, and other historical examples of ignorant Christian paranoia would disagree with you.
These Harry Potter sponge-heads don’t know what real pagan and animist culture looks like.
First, I resent being called a sponge-head. Second, my interest in world cultures has led me to indeed find out what some pagan cultures look like. I'm not saying that every HP fan does, but I'd bet that the ones who do know a lot more about them than you.
If they did, they would be running very far, and very fast, away from their Druid roots.
I seriously doubt that kids would be scared by the "Druid roots" in Harry Potter if there were any. I think it would be far more likely that nerds like myself would be excited and even more interested.
(I suppose that would require some reading on their part though...).
Translation: They won't ever find the satanic innuendo in Harry Potter unless they approach the books with a fundie mindset and see every little instance of witchcraft as Satan's handiwork.
Since I think that you are yet another fundie who bashes Harry Potter without ever having read it, I think you should kindly shut up to prevent your smug self-righteousness from infecting kids. As a matter of fact, I think that you should shut up for your own sake as well. I'd bet that telling kids that Harry Potter had Druid roots and pagan undertones would make them want to read the books even more.
