The Nicaraguan pastors shielding Isabella Miller from her lesbian mom say they will gladly go to prison or be put to death before surrendering the child to authorities.
The Brotherhood says that they forgive their persecutors, but will stand firm in the defense of Isabella, now 10 years old, who “has become an innocent victim of an ungodly agenda.” “Her wellbeing has not been given much or any consideration. According to the Bible we believe that God has given Lisa sole responsibility to care and protect her own daughter since she has no known father. According to the Bible it is a war between good and evil, a battle between God and Satan. As congregations we stand united in this spiritual warfare against evil.”
The Brotherhood add that they are willing to suffer imprisonment or death in the cause of protecting Isabella. “The fact is that suddenly we find ourselves having to choose between obeying God and man made laws,” they write. “We have chosen to obey God. We are willing to give up our rights, go to jail, or even die, for the cause of helping anyone become free from a sinful life and helping that person to live in obedience to God’s Word.”

"Hmm, is that so? Then go ahead and die..."

"The Nicaraguan pastors shielding Isabella Miller from her lesbian mom say they will gladly go to prison or be put to death before surrendering the child to authorities."
Well, in most countries the authorities have very good, accurate snipers.
The brotherhood? Sounds like something in a Dan Brown novel - sinister.
I think someone needs to explain where the bible says that children should be separated from their parents.
I also think that a court should return the child to its mother, unless there is a valid reason (like ongoing drug addiction, cruelty, neglect etc) for not doing. Being gay is no reason whatsoever.
Where in the Bible does it say that lesbians can't raise children? Quote the fucking verse.
Her wellbeing has not been given much or any consideration.
Well at least you're honest.
The Brotherhood add that they are willing to suffer imprisonment or death in the cause of protecting Isabella.
If only religious types had that kind of determination in the pursuit of science. We'd be living twice as long and have colonies on Mars. Instead they waste it on misguided bullshit.
Prison should not even be an option for this filth. Only the most vile, cowardly vermin would kidnap children. Of course they wouldn't care about Isabella. They only think of her as a pawn in their evil scheme. This is yet more proof that religion is a noxious influence, and how its followers don't care how many lives they destroy. That said, let's see if they maintain their bravado in the face of their deserved punishment.
After reading the quote, all I can say is this:
Daniel Ortega, do your duty .
"We are willing to give up our rights, go to jail, or even die, for the cause of forcing other people to live by our interpretation of religious doctrine."
So if the Nicaraguan pastors were kidnapped by a bunch of Muslims and they said "we are willing to give up our rights, go to jail, or even die, for the cause of helping anyone become free from a sinful life and helping that person to live in obedience to Allah’s Word", they'd be OK with that?
I remember reading this story when it first broke, when the kid was first kidnapped by her other mother. I didn't expect that it would take this long before I heard more about it. I hope they catch the bitch and prosecute her to the fullest extent of the law. And above all else I hope the kid is brought home safe.
"The Brotherhood says that they forgive their persecutors"
Send your excuses to Isabella, scumbags.
“The fact is that suddenly we find ourselves having to choose between obeying God and man made laws”
Do you speak about laws forbiding peoples from being complicits to a kidnapping of a child from her mother?
Actually, after looking into the whole story, it's possible that "The Brotherhood" may not be the main villains. (Misguided fanatics, yes, but not as evil as it looks.)
Basically, the narrative went like this:
- Two women met and fell in love and decided to get married and start a family.
- They had a baby girl (Isabella Miller) via in vitro fertilization
- The relationship soured and they separated, the judge awarded custody to the birth parent (Lisa Miller). Isabella's other parent had to pay child support but had visitation rights.
- The birth parent started interfering with the visitation rights and in the end abducted the girl altogether and fled the country to Nicaragua when the judge threatened to transfer custody.
- The birth parent took shelter with The Brotherhood claiming to be an "ex-gay" mother trying to protect the child from her lesbian parent.
- The Brotherhood claim that "they will gladly go to prison or be put to death before surrendering the child to authorities"
From my perspective, The Brotherhood are simply a bunch of misguided bigots who are being exploited by Isabella's birth parent to hurt her former partner.
Lisa Miller may be a fundie, given that she abducted Isabella on religious grounds or she could simply be a manipulative shrew lying about her new-found 'faith' to get some gullible priests on her side.
"The Brotherhood says that they forgive their persecutors,"
But who will forgive those who persecute in the name of god? You aren't persecuted, you are the ones doing the persecution
" As congregations we stand united in this spiritual warfare against evil.”
"
By being even more evil. It's like they mistook god for the God Emperor of Mankind or soemthing
Confused?
