The smart patriot will go ahead and let them build their mosque, and then fly an airplane into it and level it to the ground. Oops.
And then build a big-ass church-slash-synagogue on the former 911 WTC-slash-former Victory Mosque site.

and thus making youself no better than the terrorists, if not worse
"an eye for and eye makes the whole world blind" is more than just a nice quote
And how is that any better than what they did to us? At all?
The patriotic thing to do (and still quite intelligent) is to respect the freedom of religion. You remember that, right?
Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
The really scary part is that based on my last visit to New York, there is more then enough people actually willing to do that - attack the mosque with bombs and firearms... preferably, with Muslims inside. Granted, most of them will probably find something else to be pissed off about - but it doesn't take much to pull a terrorist-style attack.
So, a smart patriot is a terrorist?
And I think Jesus would like to have a word with you. You know, something about turning the other cheek...
It's not a mosque, it's not celebrating 9/11, and it's not at ground zero. It's basically a Muslim YMCA, and it's two blocks away from ground zero.
OK, so then Muslim terrorists will fly an airplane into the church/synagogue that you built at the site of the mosque you destroyed by flying a plane into it. If we have everyone flying airplanes into each other's buildings, then where does that get us? As Gandhi once said, "An eye for an eye soon leaves the whole world blind."
*edit* oops, Phil beat me to it. That's what I get for posting before reading other comments, but I guess that quote is extremely valid here.
There are already two churches near ground zero that have been there since before there was ever a WTC there. They's also an Islamic center nearby that is also older than WTC.
All of them are much closer to ground zero than where Park 51, an Islamic Center NOT A MOSQUE, will be.
One thing is that the average retarded American is upset by the mosque based upon nothing but fantasy and mythology but when you get a landslide of politicians doing the same, you understand you are dealing with a country on par with the third world.
It's like witnessing muslims in Islamic countries get upset about Mohammad cartoons - here we have Americans upset with a mosque...
"One thing is that the average retarded American is upset by the mosque based upon nothing but fantasy and mythology but when you get a landslide of politicians doing the same, you understand you are dealing with a country on par with the third world."
And now back to "Headache Spews Anti-American Bullshit Part 3,650."
And for the record it isn't a "landslide of politicians" or American citizens who are against this mosque. Many citizens (including myself) and politicians (Michael Bloomberg, Chris Christie, Nancy Pelosi) support its construction and aren't offended by it's proximity to Ground Zero. The only thing I find offensive is that in the year 2010 people are still wasting money on monuments to superstition.
So, you want to fly a plane into a building 2 NYC blocks north of the WTC site?
You christ-stains never cease to amaze me with your ignorance.
Thank the fuck christ I'm an atheist...
"The smart patriot will go ahead and let them build their mosque,"
Yes, I agree! let them...wait...that's not a period....that's not a period at all!
*Reads on*
Aw, fuck.
Yeah, that would sure show those evil muslim people how violent they are if we killed them all and built a church/synagogue (??) on their graves! Jesus would be SO proud!
(This whole discussion of if they should be able to build something on land that they themselves own is a little baffling to me.)
It's brilliant! Oh wait, no it isn't. It's stupid, not to mention murder. Also, how do you plan this patriot to survive the crash?
Of course! Attack the innocent people who happen to be part of the same religion as the crazy people who attacked us! That won't cause resentment or retaliation at all!
/sarcasm
Excuse me, I need to go bash my head into this lovely wall. I'll be gone a while.
Oh for fuck's sake... right, let me say this slowly so even you MoonBatshits can understand it.
It's. Not. A. Mosque. And. It's. Not. At. Ground. Zero.
So please put a lid on your internet-Rambo-holy-war-fap-fantasies, for everyone's sake. Moron.
Hello, FBI?
... fucking psychos...
@London Jew (1196108): You beat me to it! Where is the damn "Like" button on this thing? Or at least a thumbs up. But yeah, as a Jew I fully support everyone's freedom to worship (or not) as they see fit anywhere in the world as I expect to have that freedom myself. We don't have to agree with each other's beliefs in order to respect each other's right to have them.
And +1 to Higgs Boson (1196149).
The smart patriot will go ahead and let them build their mosque, and then fly an airplane into it and level it to the ground. Oops.
In other words you want to be just like the terrorists.
And then build a big-ass church-slash-synagogue on the former 911 WTC-slash-former Victory Mosque site.
And then what? A continual cycle of terrorism? Furthermore, the cultural center (not mosque) is not fucking ON Ground Zero, it's a few blocks away from it.
LOL victory mosque? What the fuck?
Really? You people honestly think that just because someone builds a church from a religion you don't agree with within a mile or so of the WTC site means the terrorists are bragging?
Damn...you dumb nigga.
As Gandhi once said, "An eye for an eye soon leaves the whole world blind." -- Doubting Thomas
And as Siddartha once said, "Blood stains cannot be washed away by more blood."
You know what, maybe us atheists should smash some airplanes into your buildings so that all of you religious idiots just shut the fuck up. We're caught in the crossfire and ignored because we don't believe.
SO
either you stop fighting and get the fuck along or, keep fighting, destroy each other and leave the earth to the non-religious.
Yeah, that'll maike things right.
Moron. The last thing I'd like to see fueled is a fucking "holy war" and all the horseshit that goes with it.
And after the church has been built we can let the Hindus fly a plane into THAT and build a shrine to Shiva on top of it.
And after the shrine is built the Baha'i can fly a plane into THAT and build a temple on top of it.
And after that the Jainists can fly a plane into the temple and build a Jainist temple on top of it.
And after that the Buddhist can... well, actually, the Buddhist won't do anything 'cause they don't believe in retaliation.
Oh, did Moonbattery forget that Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Baha'i, Janist, and atheists died in the 9/11 terrorist attack?
"Wandering Scribe: the Jainists would never fly a plane into a building, they are like uber-pacifists."
Yeah, Buddhists should be switched with pacifists in Wandering Scribe's example because there are several examples of whacko Buddhists killing people.
And then we can declare anyone who's openly "patriotic" to be a terrorist, and arrest them all and ship them off to Gitmo where they'll be subjected to tort--err, "enhanced interrogation" until they confess! Sure, a lot of them won't really be terrorists and will therefore be confessing to crimes they didn't commit, but that's a small price to pay to keep this country safe!
"The smart patriot will go ahead and let them build their mosque, and then fly an airplane into it and level it to the ground. Oops.
And then build a big-ass church-slash-synagogue on the former 911 WTC-slash-former Victory Mosque site."
And then poor little impotent Internet Tough Guy A. Nonny Mouse woke up, realised he was back in his bedroom, in his Obama-presided USA with a mosque being built near Ground Zero, and he cried.
;_;
Yeah, and lets kill thousands of non-muslims that have just happened to be in the area. And lets destroy a muslim building, and give terrorists in the middle east even more reasons to hate us.
You have a brain, use it.
Christian terrorist. Muslim terrorist.
See a connection? Yea, you're both batfuck crazy. What you have in common is your belief in a guy in the sky.
Dimwit.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
