Arkansas pastor Jeff Crawford argued over the weekend that a woman has no “right over her own body” because it is owned by God.
During a Sunday sermon at Crosschurch about the dangers of pornography, Crawford likened the issue to abortion rights.
“We have bought into what I want to call this morning theological dualism,” the pastor opined. “This is the idea that you can separate what goes on with our bodies with what goes on soul and spirit.”
According to Crawford, the Bible contradicted the belief that people had a right to control their own bodies.
“This idea that you hear about in the abortion debate that it’s a woman’s right to choose and she has the right over her own body, no, that’s not true!” he exclaimed. “What that means is that your arms and your legs and your head, it all belongs to God.”

Amen! Neither woman's nor man's bodies belongs to them. It all belongs to God. The man has a duty to properly administer this property. The woman's duty is to support the man in this and in everything else.
In the name of the Lord,
Jerry
if god has a right over women bodies, it applied to men as well.
it also mean, no person can have rights over other people bodies (because that is stepping over god's territory). thus, you have no right to tell a women she can't have an abortion.
Ah,
But the Bible contradicts itself meaning it's not true.
Good, were done with that shit, get a real job Pastor.
“What that means is that your arms and your legs and your head, it all belongs to God"
I agree. And since god is the biggest aborter in the world, via spontaneous miscarriage etc., that must mean the man on the cloud is pefectly ok with women having abortions...
So why are you disagreeing with god?
Check and mate, good sir.
OK, why don't you try taking that argument before the Supreme Court? I'm sure they could use a good laugh.
But if you read between the lines here, the good pastor is admitting his religion says that all followers are God's slaves.
So, you can't decide over your body either, Jeffie?
If that god of yours owns all bodies, he'd better present himself and his proof of ownership.
The Bible contradicts a lot of things, which is a good reason to discard it in favor of modern science and Human Rights.
@Sissy Jerry
Your Q JV condones Slavery*.
Now get back to doing the household chores, chop-chop! And if you're extra good, my girlfriend will dress you in a French maid's outfit; even put makeup on you. Your appearance then will please her...!
...but then, as you worship Jesus - who also wore a dress - you won't mind being a girl , will you?! >:D
*- Question: Was local hero, politician, social reformer, slavery abolitionist and Evangelical Anglican - who no doubt used the KJV - William Wilberforce a True Christian, Jer? Yes or No?
...oh, and is your Pagan calendar still free during Harvest Festival, Christmas, and Easter next year...?!
If the bible contradicts itself, how can we trust it?
Also, I still hate the "porn is bad" chestnut. What's even the point?
Then men have no authority over women. If god owns us all. Plus that eliminates free will, it's slavery.
As per knowing the Bible, Jerry has mistaken the Bible for Qu'aran. His argument is invalid
Actually, God doesn't own anything anymore. He didn't keep up the payments and we were all repossessed by Mellon Bank. They have since sold many of us out of the portfolio to Big Pharma and Monsanto. The overhead of being an asshole busybody control freak is unbelievable. The only reason God is still out there is that the operation nets so much cash every Sunday it was considered "too big to fail."

Okay, that got a snicker.
@ Jerry
Do you even listen to yourself?
You simply tell us humans are slaves to your god.
And you still wonder why we think very religious folks are psychotic?
By the way, it contradicts what your sacred book tells about freedom.
As a final note, what would you do if somebody broke your knees with a baseball bat? Since your body does not belong to you, you should not be able to sue for damages... You should get a mandate from your god first. Good luck with that.[/lawyer]
your arms and your legs and your head, it all belongs to God
So how come we have to pay for our own medical insurance?
Say, Crawford, just out of curiosity, how many women are in your congregation? That can think for themselves? Not too many, I suspect.
"“What that means is that your arms and your legs and your head, it all belongs to God.”"
Thinly veiled self importance of deranged beardies feeling entitled to do whatever they please with women to the extent of inventing rabid desert gods that say that they can. The screeching bombast of drooling apes.

I think you may have cracked the Jerry Konami Code: after all his BS about denigrating Catholics - thus he must be a Protestant - yet, claiming that the Q JV is the basis of his so-called 'Biblical Christianity' (despite his homophobia, yet the Q JV was authorised by Queen James I, who was as gay as they come), but saying he's not a Protestant (when Queen James I was; as head of the Church of England, by definition he HAD to be), that's his actual denomination: Islam .
Are you Sunni or Shia , Jer...?! >:D
Confused?
