Speaking of the man in black... Johnny Cash gets the award for the biggest sellout since Judas Iscariot. Johnny's latest album is on the American (formerly Def American) record label owned by Rick Rubin. — Now you want to hear the unbelievable? Not only did Johnny Cash record a song on American label produced by Rick Rubin — but on the album he sings a song written by Satanist Glenn Danzig! The name of the song? You guessed it — Thirteen! If you know your Bible, you know the number thirteen is connected with sin and the devil!

The ignorance here is so thick, I can't raise any emotion but pity.
Good gawd, how the fuck do you people find food?
13 is just a normal number that happens to come between 12 and 14. Nothing special about it.
Numbers do nothing, they are not scary, they don't kill you, they don't mess up your life, YOU do!
Funny.
Everytime I read about why 13 is considered an unlucky number, it's all vague speculation, even though it usually includes biblical references like "Maybe because Judas was the 13th to arrive at the Last Supper." So if the people are looking to the Bible to figure out why 13 is unlucky, why don't they use whatever chapter and verse indicates directly that 13 is connected with sin and the devil?
Which chapter and verse is that, anyway? I mean, it does exist, right, Dave? You wouldn't be lying to us, would you?
Jesus + 12 Apostles = 13
Johnny Cash has been dead for about 5 years. Regardless, don't mess with the Man in Black. His music rocks.
Speaking of rock..what? no condemnation of my beloved Stones and "Sympathy for the Devil?" Bah! You wouldn't get the lyrics/meaning anyway.
First off, I'e never seen any clear reference in the bible that shows 13 as being evil. And for all thase idiots that think 13 is going to get them killed they should look to Asia. In most of Asia the number '4' is bad juju. In apartment buildings the 4th floor is labeled different in the elevator. For example you might have 1, 2, 3, F, 5.
So, even though they are convinced it is a bad omen to use that numeral we have no problem at all with it here in America. Oh, wait...maybe the number 4 is devouring us and we just didn't know it...
Actually, 13 is a rather propitious prime number.
The original 13 colonies? There are quantities of 13s all over the dollar bill (arrows, olive branches, tail feathers, etc.)
Some inbred rednecks are able to count to 13 on their fingers.
A baker's dozen consists of the standard 12 plus one free one kicked in. Are you anti-donut?
Also, 13 is the retirement age at the Neverland Ranch.
Does that mean David J. Stewart has been cancelled?
Please God, let it be true.
Even though you don't exist.
fergus
Like the thirteen sat around the table at the Last Supper?
Dave, you don't know your Bible from yuor arsehole.
The nutcase cancelled his site? I hope it wasn't reported, because as much as I think he's completely insane, no one should be denied the right to speak their opinions(even if batshit insane and ignorant, like the ones at that site.)
Gee, I'd never ever heard of the number thirteen being a "bad" number before.
Thank you for pointing this out, David J. Stewart.
Since the late 50's Johnny Cash has been an icon of exclusionism, closed mindedness and shunning those who dare argue with the status quo. Who could forget Johnny's famous series of prison shows in which he travelled around the country lecturing prisoners on how they are filthy scum and don't deserve to hear his pure Godly music.
Who could forget Johnny's famous passionate opposition to the American anti war, mind expansion movement of the late 60's. Who could forget the opening lines of of Johnny's popular television show, 'Hello, I'm Johnny Cash and this is my show. You wont be seeing no Bob Dylans, Neil Youngs or Elton Johns on this show, they're filthy drug taking perverts and they should burn in Hell'.
Of course Johnny was famous for his songs sung from the perspective of clean living, well adjusted folks who never question their belief in God almighty. Who could forget the classic 'Delia's gone' in which Johnny celebrates the fact that his lover is now with Jesus or 'Folsom prison blues' in which Johnny tells the tale of a fellow who shook a man's hand in Reno just to watch him smile.
It truly is a shame that in his later years, Cash seemed bent on treating those who's opinions he disagreed with as if they were human beings and not the filthy dogs they are. One can only hope that before Cash died he realised how far he'd strayed from Jesus' holy command to hate thy neighbour and shun those who's lifestyles you disagree with.
"-but on the album he sings a song written by Satanist Glenn Danzig!"
Dude, you're like the Rick Romero of music. This happened YEARS ago.
Johnny Cash ruled. Even back in the day when he sucked up to the fundies, and recorded a lot of silly material (though I like the Shel Silverstein songs e.g. "A Boy Named Sue") he was still a hellacious artist.
His wife June is credited for cleaning Johnny up and turning him to Jeebus. Nonetheless, her uncle A.P. Carter made his fortune by taking credit for old folksongs written by others and pocketing the royalties.
There are 13 moons in a year. There are 26 letters in the english alphabet - 2x13!
Jesus is Savior has 13 letters!
It' just a fucking number, idiot.
9 is the number of death, 6 is the number of the devil.
Try the George Wanker Bush numerical system which consists only of 9, 11 and 2001.
Firstly, this has just got to be a poe. I've not seen any reference to the number 13 in the Bible.
Secondly, the site's back up.
Thank Jesus his website is back up so more people can be warned about the number 13. 13 is not an evil number, the freemasons and illuminatist made it an evil number, God makes nothing evil or sinful. And yes, they've been around since Egyptian times.
The late great Johnny Cash achieved more in his lifetime than you ever will, Dave.
And unlike you, at least he wasn't a kiddy-diddling nonce.
Also Johnny was that best kind of Christian, moderate and worldly. While he would profess his belief at concerts and cover many gospel tracks he remained moderate and kept company with the progressive artists on the fringe of country and rock. This, plus his own stylings made him incredibly respected by most music legends of all genres and beliefs.
He was one of a kind, a rarity in the entertainment world, a mercural artist who built a steady uncomprimising career from his rockabilly roots.
Stewart probably hated him because he had little use for "holier than thou, true Christians" and worked with people who weren't Christians WAYYY before Danzig.
Most highly skilled people in the music industry aren't Christian.
Johnny Cash walked and lived in the REAL world and resented people who only contribution is to critisize, fear-mongle and divide people
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
