Science proves the existence of God. Evolution says we came from apes - LoL...the Bible says we were created in God's image. So if we are created in God's image, you would then have to assume that God is a sky monkey swinging from the clouds. Which is easier to believe? In creation and a Creator, or in evolution sky monkey-god fairy tales?

Science has never proved the existence of God, neither disproven it, but that´s a totally different issue whatsoever. And evolution is more science than a speaking snake or a 6000 years old earth, which are not.
How is easier to live?, in a tent, not being older than fourty, watching people die of starvation or any illness as flu with no of the commodities we enjoy nowadays, including this computer, or today?. Be consequent, dear.
When I observe the beahvior of certain Christians, the sky monkey theory seems very plausible, thanks. And evolution does not claim we came from apes, no matter how many times you say so.
Really, it shouldn't be surprising that when you start with a flawed premise and try to graft a flawed perception of evolution onto Christianity, you end up with a conclusion that makes no sense. What if you tried keeping different world views separate, rather than inexpertly blending them and complaining when the result is a mess?
I am NOT created in God's image. I am created BETTER than God's image. Hubris? maybe, but think of this:
* God, as he is described by Christians, is omnipotent. He can do anything, without effort. Therefore, he lacks the ability to challenge himself. I love the ability to push my limits, to set new high scores, if you will. God has, essentially, been given the cheat codes to the universe. And as most gamers like myself know, once you've used the cheat codes, it's not really any fun any more.
* God, as christians describe him, is omniscient. He knows everything. There is nothing he can learn. I take great pleasure in learning new things (which means no doubt christians will soon begin campaigning against it, but that's another story).
Two things that God can not do, he has supposedly imbued us with the ability to do.
Let's pretend for a minute that both explanations are complete bullshit. Which do you think is the bigger load of bullshit?
1) The theory that, over billions of years, and billions of generations of life, we came to be as we are through a long, protracted series of many adaptations and mutations
2) The theory that POOF, an all-powerful, mysterious God did it!
Face it: "God did it!" is a bullshit explanation
There are so many assumptions here that if we took them away we'd be left with something even more incoherent than what is currently here.
Science doesn't disprove god, but it does indicate that his/her existence is highly improbable, and vastly different from how it's depicted in the bible.
Evolution says we have a common ancestor with apes. Not that we came from them.
After you make this statement your logic becomes a jumbled mess and isn't worth commenting on, suffice it to say: "you have a very warped understanding of evolution."
But don't feel bad, a defining feature of fundies is their complete and utter ignorance of evolution. So you have a lot of peers in that regard, I'm sorry to say.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
