Why dont our country make athiests turn into christians by law?
Well, why doesn´t your country make atheists turn into muslims, Buddhists or witches instead? And while they´re at it do the same to christians as well?
Wait one second...
You guys claim that there is a "homosexual agenda" and spend no small amount of time and energy bitching about it, when the reality is that LGBT people merely desire equal rights. You then make insane/inane comments and "plans" like this about how the world should be a theocracy. Do you not see the irony behind this?
Because the law states that no one religion, or any religion at all, can be forced on people who don't want it, you fucking idiot. Now be a good fundie and jump off of a cliff.
And everything fundies say, do & think are the reason why right-wing fundy Xtians should be turned into Atheists by law.
Works both ways eh, chummy?!
For the same reason why it doesn't make Christians turn into atheists.
The First Amendment exists for your own protection, as well as the protection of others. You'd do well to remember this.
Freedom, shithead. Go look it up.
Then go and lie down on a busy highway and turn yourself into roadkill.
I can't speak for your country, but many of the ones where most of your countrymen's ancestors (and probably yours) came from tried this at one time or another. It wasn't nice and it didn't work. So unless you enjoy the prospect of death, civil strife and gratuitous violence, I suggest you make a serious attempt to learn from history.
Should Christianity become mandatory by law, then it's time for a "Mayflower 2" to leave the USA, in search of a new, free country.
Remember: The USA was founded on the principle of religious freedom. People were fleeing forced religion in Europe, and found a new home in north america.

Because this:

won't allow it. Next question.
@darkevilme.
"For the same reason it's not making you convert to the church of Haruhi Suzumiya, dumbass."
Oh, I became a Haruhiist by my own free will. And it's not difficult to see why...:

Just the "MoHS" scenario alone knocks the Bible's into a cocked hat! Haruhi has far more credibility. Along with the Invisible Pink Unicorn, JR 'Bob' Dobbs, and His Noodlyness The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
RAmen.
...oh, and I'm also a born-again Urdist:

We worshippers of the Norn of the Past believe that one day, Urd will emerge from our TV/computer monitor screens, and solve the world's problems by screwing us senseless. I can't prove it of course, but then who needs proof, when you've got faith eh, fundies?
>:D
A good question. Why can't we just, y'know, use violence and force to make these harmless atheists believe our pfaddle? it's not like it would invalidate our claim that our way is the right way or the true way or anything.
because it would be against the US constitution, and also, you can't force somebody to believe something, you can force them to go through the motions but you cannot force them to believe in it.
Because I'd like to think that our country was founded on freedom of religion, and not the freedom for religion to run people's lives. I know you don't believe in freedom for anyone except yourself and those exactly like you, and there are places where you can indulge the desire to dehumanize others just because they don't share your delusions, but the US, thankfully, isn't (completely) one of them.
“Why dont our country make athiests turn into christians by law?”
Because it’s our country, too, you illiterate fascist.
Ask why our country does make Christains turn into Mormons by law, just to simplify things?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
