"They don't work, what about that seal that was like 13,000 years old and only died like a day before it was tested ?"
Cite it. Since you can't use carbon dating on something that just died the day before either they were using a different dating method (which certainly would have been more reliable) or they were dumber than a bag of hair. Or you, or them, are lying out your asses. Guess which one I think is true.
"All dating methods are based on assumptions, and unknown variables."
Radiometric dating depends on the rate of decay of various isotopes. They're all fairly accurately calculated by now so it's a pretty safe bet that no "assumptions and unknown variables" are being used.
"If the methods work so flawlessly.. why do they need to improve them?"
What's with you people and seeing everything in black or white? Something either works or it doesn't; it's broke or it's not; it's accurate or it isn't. Real life doesn't work that way.
They improve them to get more accurate measurements, dipwad. By more accurate I'm talking about shaving off 10,000-100,000 years on a date range of millions of years. They're honing the accuracy, not the method.
"Yes, but the catholics are also one of the biggest cults on earth, the Pope is an "anti-Christ" type of person. They are always trying to go mainstream. Accepting evolution (macro) is heresy for a Christian"
I hope your Christ exists and that one of the entry requirements to heaven is to actually look at what the fuck is around you and pay attention. If I created an entire universe and all life in it and my human creations were too ignorant, pig headed or just outright stupid to stop and examine it you can bet your ass I wouldn't spend eternity with them.
