"[Austin, Texas] is a stinking hell-hole of putrification of man's sin and intellectualism."
Damn those smart people. They're always making you feel stupid, huh?
"I'm gonna live forever. Where? With Jesus."
I bet spouting your delusion of immortality and the name of your imaginary friend will make those intellectuals feel pretty damn silly.
Peter: Oh, I'm all for the intellectualism! Seriously, I wish I could get more of it where I am.
However, I simply loathe the color orange; the "burnt orange" hue is particularly vile to me, and it is evident EVERYFREAKINGWHERE in Austin. It is even more ubiquitous than Alamo references in San Antonio or Cowboys iconography in Dallas.
I suppose I could consider trying to learn to tolerate it, and if I ever learn that a fabulous job would be available in Austin, I would consider it. But until then, I really don't have enough of a reason to bother.

haha, nah, i know, i'm just screwing around. i'm about to graduate from there, so i'm a bit of a fan; the color grows on you.
incidentally, a good friend used to work for the Texas Senate, and he revealed that the TX gov't is actually quite liberal - it's the constituency that is very conservative.
You should all check this out, I think it's been a long time coming:

The whole foundation of Christianity is based on the idea that intellectualism is the work of the Devil. Remember the apple on the tree? Okay, it was the Tree of Knowledge. "You eat this apple, you're going to be as smart as God. We can't have that."
-- Frank Zappa
How's about I do you a favour, lady? Give you brain damage. The less intelligent you are, the better, right?
I live in Austin as well and find it refreshing from this little town I grew up in the southern area of Texas. Lady with big hair, get a disease and die. That or just move away, you're making my city dumber per capita.
Confused?
